SAD 25 school year begins next week

SHERMAN STATION – SAD 25, which comprises Patten, Sherman, Stacyville and Mount Chase, will begin the 2003-04 school year with teacher workshop days on Monday, Aug. 25, and Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The first day of school for pupils in pre-kindergarten through grade seven and grade nine, will be Wednesday, Aug. 27; it will be Thursday, Aug. 28, for grades 10 through 12.

Bus routes will be the same as last year, and buses will arrive at school between 7:30 and 7:40 a.m.

New staff members include Eryn Cole, grade eight; John Doe, superintendent of schools; Phil Faulkner, athletic director; Michael Hutchinson, instrumental music for grades five through 12; and Sandra Robinson, guidance director.

Motorists are reminded that it is illegal to pass a school bus with flashing red lights.
