BANGOR – Bob Denner of Bangor aced the 160-yard fourth hole at Bangor Municipal Golf Course with a 5-iron on Tuesday. The shot was witnessed by Micky Strout and Bill Michaud.

PORTAGE – Ashland’s Alec Carney recorded a hole-in-one on the 128-yard, par-3 sixth hole at Portage Hill Country Club on Tuesday during a high school golf match. The feat was witnessed by Amanda Stevens and Girvin Garne. This was Carney’s first hole-in-one.
