CARIBOU – Stephanie Holton scored on a cross with 28:08 left in the first half as the Presque Isle girls soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over Caribou Thursday in high school action.
Holton’s shot, from the right side of the field, nestled inside the far goalpost past Caribou goalie Rachel Willey.
Melissa DeMerchant saved all eight Vikings shots to earn the shutout for the 3-0 Wildcats. Willey made nine saves on 16 shots for 2-1 Caribou.
Limestone 4, Easton 1
At Limestone Wednesday, Lindsey Beaulieau knocked in three goals as the Eagles rolled.
Ellie Dunn scored a goal and assisted on another for 3-2-1 Limestone. Nikki Michaud stopped all four shots she faced.
Jenny Mazarolle scored for the 0-7 Bears. Nina Alexander was credited with the assist. Brianna White stopped 10 out of 15 shots.

Fort Fairfield 1, Katahdin 0
At Sherman Station Wednesday, Jesse Sayers’ goal with about nine minutes left in regulation boosted the Tigers past the Cougars.
Brandon Levasseur assisted on the goal and Tyler Bernaiche stopped four of six shots for 3-2 Fort Fairfield.
Frank Grass made 10 saves on 11 shots for 0-1 Katahdin.
