Tragedy in the Allagash Coming next

Tuesday: David Hernandez-Caballero, an attorney with the Embassy of Honduras, and Chuck Kincer, director of Kincer Funeral Home in Richmond, became friends when preparing 10 accident victims’ bodies for transport to Honduras and burial there. They share how difficult it was to see the caskets all in a row. Hernandez-Caballero also describes the steps he took to send back the victims’ personal belongings, from wedding rings to thousands of dollars in cash, and how money from the Migrant Relief Fund was sent to Honduras.

Friday: A year ago, Edilberto Morales-Luis stood on John’s Bridge and looked at a van containing the bodies of 14 friends who died in the Allagash River. People who met Edilberto recall his strength and share his struggle to receive worker’s compensation benefits.
