SEARSPORT – Jessica Wilson scored three goals as defending Class C girls soccer state champion Searsport earned a 4-1 win over Penquis Saturday in a season-opening game for both teams.
Natasha Zito added a goal for the 1-0 Searsport Vikings and Jessica Carroll made seven saves on 10 shots. Brittany Frisbie had two assists.
Jennifer Hussey notched a goal for the 0-1 Patriots of Milo. Natalie Nason blocked 15 out of 24 shots.
Woodland 3, Shead 2
At Eastport, Erika Brown tucked a free kick into the upper corner from just outside the penalty area with 13:57 remaining to give Woodland its win over Shead in a mutual season-opener.
Lauren Troiani saved a penalty kick with five minutes left to preserve the win.
Lacy Gillespie and Kaitlyn Leeman staked Woodland to a pair of one-goal leads but Samantha Davis and Skylar Richardson answered.
Brown also had an assist while Shead received assists from Fawn Cummings and Valerie Bowen.
Troiani finished with 10 saves while Brittany Cox stopped eight shots.
Presque Isle 1, Ellsworth 0
At Presque Isle, Katie Delong scored off a pass from Kylan Smith with 9:04 left in the first half as the Wildcats held off the Eagles.
Melissa Demerchant made seven saves on 11 shots for 4-0 Presque Isle.
Victoria Jones stopped 16 of 27 shots for 0-1 Ellsworth.

George Stevens 7, Sumner 0
At East Sullivan, Bethany Roberts knocked in three goals and dished out an assist as the Eagles of Blue Hill cruised.
Sadie Robertson tallied two goals for 1-0 George Stevens, and Winslow Brokaw and Brandi Winters added a goal each. Sam Haskell and Liz Tyler stopped the only shot they faced.
Kylie Bragdon blocked 21 out of 28 shots for the 0-1 Tigers.
Central 4, DI-Stonington 0
At Castine, four different players scored a goal apiece for the Red Devils of Cornith in the win.
Erica Brownell, Lindsay Allen, Mallorie Jones and Nicole Lague were the scorers for 1-0 Central. Nicole Daniel stopped all three shots she faced.
Whitney Haskell made seven saves on 11 shots for the 0-1 Mariners.
Bangor 3, Hampden 1
At Bangor, Caroline Larsen’s goal about 12 minutes into the second half proved to be the game-winner for the Rams.
Serena Dubois scored in the first half for 1-0 Bangor. Jessica Tweedie added an insurance goal in the second half. Laura Clarke contributed two assists and Ilyse Angst stopped six of seven shots.
Jessie Aylward scored for the 0-1 Broncos off a Kim Stephenson pass. Becca Workman made 11 saves on 14 shots.

Greenville 4, Richmond 1
At Greenville, Hannah Breton netted three goals to power the Lakers past the Bobcats.
Kristin Sutherland chipped in with a score for 1-0 Greenville. Sarah Hanson, Martha Richardson and Kristie Richardson each added an assist. Beth Bartley made seven saves on eight shots.
Becky Coonradt knocked in a direct kick for 0-1 Richmond and Heather Martin stopped 17 of 21 shots.
Penobscot Valley 6, Dexter 1
At Howland, Rachel Daufor knocked in three goals and Kacy Foster two as the Howlers won their opener.
Randy Rackley tallied a goal and Tiffany Brown dished out two assists for the 1-0 winners. Jen Plourde stopped 10 out of 17 shots.
Sabrina Cote scored the 0-1 Tigers’ lone goal. Lindsay Burton rejected 16 out of 21 shots.
Lee Academy 4, Schenck 0
At Lee, Shelby Pickering scored twice to lead the Pandas.
Jodi Worster and Erica Hanscom had the other goals; Kristen Hersom and Marci Moors had assists and Jackie Moors teamed up with Amy Lane to make five saves for 0-2 Lee.
Megan Carey had 11 saves for 0-1 Schenck.
Caribou 11, Foxcroft 0
At Dover-Foxcroft, Lauren Harrigan, Monica Selander and Jessica Kinney each scored two goals as the Vikings rolled.
Billie Martin, Amelia Cote, Lindsey Burlock, Courtney Francis and Michelle Ouellette each put one in for 3-1 Caribou. Martin and Rachel Willey combined to make one save on two shots.
Ashley Marden and Kate Walsh stopped 19 out of 38 shots for the 0-1 Ponies.

Belfast 10, Oak Hill 2
At Sabattus, Britt Cummings knocked in three goals and assisted on another as the Lions cruised.
Kaylene Annis chipped in with two goals and an assist for 1-0 Belfast. Britt Reed, Kelsey Jackson and Sara Flagg each added a goal and an assist. Kallie Aldus and Heather Read scored a goal apiece and Kate Ross added an assist. Amanda Littlefield and Liz Anderson combined for six saves on eight shots.
Jill Lizotte and Lena Dietrich each scored a goal for the 0-1 Raiders. Frankie Curtis made 22 saves on 32 shots.

Piscataquis 5, Stearns 1
At Millinocket, Kristi Levesque scored three goals in the final 10 minutes for the Pirates en route to the win.
Piscataquis of Guilford’s Kelsey Martell broke a 1-1 tie earlier in the second half. Heather Tracy opened the scoring for PCHS. Tedianne Galuski had an assist. Jessica Pratt made five saves.
Meghana Day scored for the Minutemen. Deanna Michaud made seven saves.

Ellsworth 2, Presque Isle 2 (2OT)
At Presque Isle, the Eagles and Wildcats battled to a double-overtime tie.
Benji Lynch and Greg Whitaker knocked in a goal each for 2-0-1 Presque Isle with Nate Carter and Trevor Glover getting assists. Brad Baker made four saves on six shots.
Kris Tracy and Jenson Rich scored for 0-0-1 Ellsworth and Andy Berry and Jacques Tardie had an assist each. Noah Brown rejected four out of six shots.

DI-Stonington 2, Central 0
At Castine, three Mariner goalies combined to shut down the Red Devils of Corinth.
Shane Eaton, Nick Ciomei and Miles Douglass combined to make 11 saves on 19 shots for 1-0 Deer Isle-Stonington. Ciomei had two assists, his brother Bryant Ciomei had a goal, and Douglass added a score.
Charles Haney stopped four of six shots for 0-1 Central.
Hampden 3, Bangor 2
At Hampden, Bud Bridges scored two goals, including the game-winner in the second half, as the Broncos rallied past the Rams.
Bridges scored Hampden’s first goal, cutting into Bangor’s 2-0 lead. Alex Wiken put in a goal off an assist from Trevor Campbell to tie the game, and Bridges scored again off a Nattapong Kongsuriya assist for the winner. Kenny Mayo made 10 saves on 12 shots for the 1-0 Broncs.
Mike Larochelle and Omar Conteh each put in an unassisted goal for the 0-1 Rams. Jessefa Murphy stopped 11 of 14 shots.

Rangeley 4, Greenville 2
At Greenville, Greg Gibbs put in two goals as the Bobcats prevailed.
Eric Christie notched a goal plus an assist for 1-0 Richmond, and Zack Brown added a goal. Steve Wullaert stopped 19 out of 23 shtos.
Jonah Lizotte scored two goals and Durgan McKusick dished out two assists for the 0-1 Lakers. Brandon Lavigne had 15 saves on 20 shots.
