SEARSPORT – Lindsey Gordon’s goal with 15:20 remaining in the first half Tuesday gave Bucksport the lead for good as the defending Eastern Maine Class B champion the Golden Bucks opened their season with a 1-0 girls soccer victory over Searsport.
Alice Andrews assisted on Gordon’s winner. Katie Hurd made eight saves on 18 shots for Bucksport.
Mo Hall stopped 14 of 20 shots for the 1-1 defending Class C state champion Vikings.
Nokomis 1, Bangor 1
At Newport, Bangor and Nokomis battled to a tie through two overtimes.
Kristina Gonzalez scored the goal for 1-0-1 Nokomis in the second half. Rozlyn Peterson had 15 saves on 17 shots.
For 1-0-1 Bangor, Laura Clarke scored with an assist by Hannah Bennett. Ilyse Angst had nine saves on 15 shots.
Penobscot Valley 2, Central 0
At Corinth, Jen Plourde stopped all 24 Red Devil shots to earn a shutout for the Howlers.
Randy Rackley’s goal with 7:38 left in the first half proved to be the game-winner for 2-0 Penobscot Valley of Howland. Ashley Dawson added a goal.
Nicole Daniels made 23 saves on 25 shots for 1-1 Central.
Calvary Chapel 5, Highview Ch. 1
At Charleston, Kelly Miller scored two goals to lead visiting Calvary Chapel Christian of Orrington to victory.
Monique Veilleux and Britnay Lowe each had a goal and an assist, while Chantel Veilleux scored a goal.
Angela Francis scored for Highview Christian.
Jessica Graves made nine saves on 10 shots for 2-0 Calvary Chapel. Danielle Day stopped 33 of 38 shots for Highview Christian.
Valley 2, Buckfield 2
At Bingham, Candace Allen scored two goals in the second half to rally the Bucks to a tie.
Chelsea Allen assisted on the tying goal and Ashley Dudley made 14 saves for 0-1-1 Buckfield.
Lera McCandles and Kristin Baker each scored a goal for the 0-1-1 Cavaliers. Emma McAllister had an assist and Loretta Fitzmaurice made 13 saves.
Greenville 1, Rangeley 1
At Rangeley, Greenville’s Crystal Ferris scored on a direct kick 20 minutes into the match, but Rangeley’s Sarah Schrader countered with a goal nine minutes later as the teams battled to a stalemate through two overtime periods.
Beth Bartley made 14 saves on 15 shots for 1-0-1 Greenville. Justine Frost-Kolva made 20 saves on 21 shots for 1-0-1 Rangeley.
Foxcroft Academy 2, Dexter 2
At Dexter, Erica Kaufman scored both of Foxcroft Academy’s goals, including the game-tying goal with an assist from Leslie Nelson in the second half, as the Ponies played Dexter to a tie through two overtimes.
Christina Kurzius made five saves on 17 shots for 0-1-1 Foxcroft Academy.
Sabrina Cote netted both of the Tigers’ goals with assists from Emily Whalen and Kylie Keene. Lindsay Burton stopped eight of 19 shots for 0-1-1 Dexter.
Hampden 5, Old Town 1
At Hampden, Kim Stephenson scored on a penalty shot 34 seconds into the game and added two assists as the Broncos topped the Indians.
Jill Beal, Alyssa Forrest, Grace Cushing and Annie Lafayette each chipped in with a goal for 1-1 Hampden. Lili Berube and Jo Ghiringehlli had assists. Morgan Greenlaw made two saves on three shots.
Megan McKay scored off a pass from Katie Bergeron for 0-2 Old Town. Whitney Carey stopped nine of 29 shots.

Old Town 5, Hampden Acad. 0
At Old Town, five different players scored as the Indians improved to 2-0 on the season.
John Garrity had a goal and an assist, while Nate Lonko, Matt Petrie, Matt Curtis and Brenton Magers each scored a goal. Tyson O’Keefe had two assists, while Garrity and Chad Dupuis had one assist each.
Tyler Tracewski made 11 saves on 15 shots for Old Town. Ken Mayo made 12 saves on 17 shots for 1-1 Hampden.

John Bapst 5, Brewer 0
At Bangor, Alex Means scored three goals as John Bapst won its season opener.
Josh Jameson and Ben Fenney added goals for the Crusaders, who led 4-0 at halftime. A.J. Stein had two assists, while Brian Roach and Brandon Freeman had one assist each.
Rick Hathaway earned the shutout, saving all six shots he faced. Matt Quimby made 11 saves on 17 shots for 0-2 Brewer.

Highview Ch. 5, Calvary Chapel 4
At Charleston, Cameron Smith scored the game-winning goal off a William Allard assist with 25:23 left in the second half to give Highview Christian the win.
Smith also had another goal and Lucas Soares netted two goals for 1-0 Highview Christian. Thiago Martinelli added a goal and Anthony Kneeland notched an assist. Aaron Waite and Devan Philbrick combined to make eight saves on 17 shots.
Rosaire Veilleux, Brock Bradford, Andrew Lowe and Stephan Gerrtier each scored a goal for 1-1 Calvary Chapel of Orrington. Tyler Gans made 19 saves on 31 shots.
Lee Acad. 3, Bangor Christian 1
At Lee, Rick Kim scored two goals to help Lee Academy to the win.
Drew Pickering netted a goal for 3-1 Lee Academy while Nate Dow and Doob Dow each had assists. Kris King made eight saves on 14 shots.
Ignacio Bustos scored on a Rick Shaw assist with 4:37 left in the first half for 1-1 Bangor Christian. D.J. McCleary made 21 saves on 25 shots.

At Fairfield, Brandon Grudda scored the game-winning goal with 11:01 remaining in the second half to give Lawrence the win.
Nate Lovitz stopped three of five shots for 2-0 Lawrence.
Ben Prentiss made five saves on 13 for 1-1 Mt. Blue of Farmington.

Belfast 4, Camden Hills 2
At Camden, Jamie Flagg netted two goals and assisted on another to lift Belfast past Camden Hills.
Britt Cummings scored two goals for 2-0 Belfast and Kelsey Jackson had three assists. Amanda Littlefield made seven saves on nine shots.
Suzanne England scored an unassisted goal for 0-2 Camden Hills and Lindsey Clement added a goal off a Jennessa Tylor assist. Georgia Smith made 10 saves on 14 shots.

Old Town 3, Hampden Acad.2
At Old Town, Amanda Paradis scored the winning goal with 20 seconds left in the game on an assist by Kaleigh Dupuis.
Dupuis had a goal of her own with an assist by Rachel Chalila for the 1-1 Indians. Rachel Allen also had a goal with an assist by Dupuis. Kitty Campbell had 14 saves on 28 shots.
For 1-1 Hampden, Erika Veinote scored two goals, one unassisted and one off an assist by Tini Lumino. Caroline Samp had 19 saves on 21 shots.
