FORT KENT – Megan Lajoie netted the game-winning goal with 30:41 left in the first half to lift the Class D Van Buren girls soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Class B Fort Kent Thursday night in high school action.

Lisa Levasseur made 11 saves on 15 shots for the 6-0-3 Crusaders.

Mindy Morneault blocked 10 of 11 attempts for the 2-3-1 Warriors.

Easton 8, East Grand 1

At Easton, Nina Alexander scored three goals to power the Bears.

Toni Ladner’s penalty-kick score broke a 1-1 tie in the second half and 2-9 Easton went on to score six more goals in the period. Kassie Lovely racked up a goal and four assists. Brittany Hickey, Jessica Ferris and Jenny Mazzerolle each chipped in with a goal. Megan Blosser had two assists and Michelle Osgood had one. Briana White made nine saves on 14 shots.

Marie Gilman scored for the 0-2 Vikings of Danforth off an assist from Tiffany Shay. Paula Osnoe made eight saves on 28 shots.

Houlton 1, Hodgdon 0

At Houlton, Danielle Sewell’s goal with 10:04 left in the game lifted the Shiretowners past the rival Hawks.

Sewell’s winner was unassisted, but 3-4 Houlton got help from goalie Anna Lenentine, who saved all five Hodgdon shots, including two on breakaways by Brianne McGary.

Erin Foster made 13 saves on 24 shots for 4-4 Hodgdon.

Wisdom 2, Limestone 1

At St. Agatha, Christa Lizotte’s unassisted goal in the second half proved to be the game-winner as the Pioneers picked up a key win over the Eagles.

Lizotte assisted on a goal by Nicole St. Pierre earlier in the game. Kayla Daigle made 13 saves on 16 shots.

Jacinda St. Pierre scored for 4-4-1 Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics about 20 seconds after Lizotte’s winner. Megan Pelletier assisted on the goal and Nikki Michaud made 25 saves on 30 shots.

Ashland 3, CAHS 3 (2OT)

At Mars Hill, Alisha Boyd scored the game-tying goal on a Stevi Fletcher assist with 22 minutes left in the second half for Central Aroostook.

Alisha Boyd netted all three goals for the Panthers as Ericah Cheney and Naomi Smith both had assists. Brittany Lundeen stopped 19 of 25 shots for 5-3-2 Central Aroostook.

Caitlin Sherman scored two goals for 3-1-1 Ashland. Beth Chamberlin added a goal and Ashlee Peters had an assist. Ashley Nemer made 15 saves on 24 attempts.

George Stevens 1, Bucksport 0

At Bucksport, Hilary Thibodeau scored on a Sadie Beardsworth assist with 6:25 left in the game to give the Eagles of Blue Hill their first win over Bucksport in six years.

Liz Tyler made six saves on eight shots for 2-0 George Stevens Academy.

Katie Hurd blocked two of three shots for 1-1 Bucksport.

Boys soccer

Caribou 5, Madawaska 2

At Caribou, Eamonn Harrigan scored two unassisted goals as the Vikings rolled to the win.

Ben Wakana, Caleb Swanberg and Eric Mowatt each chipped in with a goal for 4-2 Caribou. Ben Willey, Kyle Wambold and Dave Levasseur each had an assist. Micah Maurio made four saves on nine shots.

Myles Morneault and Paul Michaud each scored for the 5-3 Owls. Paul Roy had an assist and Jon Cowie made four saves on 19 shots.

JV: Caribou 4-1

Easton 2, East Grand 1

At Easton, Curtis Beaulieu’s goal in the second half proved to be the game-winner as the Bears stopped the Vikings.

Matt Steele scored an unassisted goal and assisted on Beaulieu’s score. Danny Warren stopped 11 of 17 shots for 6-2-2 Easton.

Brent Bryers recorded a goal for 0-2 East Grand of Danforth. Alan McEwin made 16 saves on 30 shots.

Cen. Aroostook 2, Ashland 1

At Mars Hill, Jon Boyd had a goal and an assist as the Panthers held off a late Hornet rally.

Eric Grivois also scored for 5-2-2 Central Aroostook. Adam Crew made 11 saves on 16 shots.

Ashland’s Brock Bessey scored a goal with 15 seconds left in regulation. Curtis Belanger made 28 saves on 36 shots for the 1-1-1 Hornets.

Wisdom 7, Limestone 1

At St. Agatha, Randy Thibeault scored four goals to lead the 1-8 Pioneers to their first win of the season.

Wayne Tyment assisted on three goals for Wisdom. Wesley Chasse added two goals and an assist while Adam Ouellette scored unassisted.

Andrew Pelletier scored off an assist from Evan Bretzke in the first half for 0-5-1 Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Highview Chr. 4, Islesboro 1

At Charleston, Dhiago Martinelli tallied two goals and an assist as the Knights topped the Eagles.

Lucas Soares added a goal and an assist for 2-0 Highview Christian. Anthony Kneeland also scored a goal, and Ricky Hughes contributed an assist. Devan Philbrick made 11 saves on 12 shots.

T.L. Tutor put in an assisted goal for 0-1 Islesboro. Buddy Bebb stopped 26 of 41 shots.

Hampden 4, Nokomis 0

At Newport, Trevor Campbell scored a goal and assisted another to help Hampden Academy to the win.

Keith Zanardi, Eric Kelmonson, and Martin Early each scored a goal for the Broncos. Billy Shannon and Alex Wiken both had an assist and Kenny Mayo made five saves on 10 shots for 2-1 Hampden.

Zach Wing stopped 13 of 25 shots for 0-3 Nokomis.

JV: Hampden 7-3

John Bapst 3, Hermon 1

At Bangor, Alex Means netted a goal and had an assist to help John Bapst of Bangor past Hermon.

Sean Snyder and Josh Jameson both scored a goal for the 2-0 Crusaders and Rick Hathaway made 16 saves on 17 attempts.

Wyatt Sabo scored on a Ryan Tarr assist in the second half for 0-1 Hermon. Corey Archer blocked 11 of 14 shots.
