FORT KENT – Angela Qualey scored two goals to lead the University of Maine-Machias Clippers to a 3-0 women’s soccer victory over UM-Fort Kent Saturday.
Christine Rich notched a goal plus an assist for the 1-3-1 winners. East Machias’ Sara Ricker made eight saves.
Kara Jackson had seven saves for the 1-2 Bengals.
Colby 0, Bates 0
At Waterville, both teams posted shutouts.
For 1-0-1 Colby, Elizabeth Riley saved 22 shots of 30.
Lynne Antinarelli had four stops out of eight shots for the 1-0-1 Bobcats.
Maine Maritime 6, Thomas 1
At Castine Saturday, Jessie Taylor scored three goals and assisted on another as the Mariners rolled.
Amy Asselin knocked in two goals for 3-0 Maine Maritime and Ashley Brooker added another. Meghan Marshall had three saves on four shots.
Mary Pratt converted a penalty kick for the 1-1 Terriers. Jessie Craft blocked 16 out of 22 shots.
Plymouth State 3, St. Joe’s 0
At Plymouth, N.H. Saturday, Hayley Quinones stopped both shots she faced to get the shutout for Plymouth State.
Kelsey MacDonald, Krista Petrie and Alicia Tefft had a goal apiece for the 3-0 winners.
Shana Howard and Cheryl Northrup combined to make 13 saves on 15 shots.
USM 0, Wellesley 0 (2OT)
At Gorham, the 3-0-1 Huskies and 0-2-1 Wellesley had a scoreless game after double overtime.
USM’s Marcy Ansley and Wellesley’s Elizabeth Senacal were both credited with five saves.
Harvard 3, Maine 0
At Cambridge, Mass., Sunday, Allison Kaveney scored what proved to be the game-winner in the first half for the Crimson.
Amy Holt and Katie Shields combined to make nine saves for 1-3 Harvard.
Tanya Adorno had four saves for the 4-1 Black Bears.
NHTI 6, Unity 1
At Unity Sunday, Kate Lesiccka and Katie Stockton were among six NHTI players who scored in the win.
Jen LeBlance had five saves on six shots for 4-0 NHTI.
Colby White scored the 1-3 Rams’ lone goal. Anne Carter and Christine Blakesley combined to stop 36 out of 44 shots.
Men’s soccer
Unity 7, Northern Maine CC 1
At Unity, six Ram players scored for a total of seven goals. Giving them a win over the 0-2 Falcons and leaving their record at 4-0.
Zax Teletciak, Matt Belonick, Ryan Howes, Nick Branning, and C.J. Perry all had goals. Any Brower scored twice and Belonick had two assists. Together Tyler Ferguson and Jay Silva achieved six saves on seven goals.
Andy Pytlak had NMCC’s only goal. Goalie Lou Pelletier saved 15 of 25 shots.
Colby 3, Bates 0
At Waterville Saturday, Ryan Boccuzzi knocked in a penalty kick which proved to be the game-winner for the Mules.
Chris McGayden and James Pilgrim added a goal each for 2-0 Colby. Brian Davidson had six saves on 12 shots.
James Kenly stopped four out of 15 shots for the Bobcats of Lewiston.
UM-Machias 2, UM-Fort Kent 0
At Fort Kent Saturday, Brett Howarth notched two goals for the Clippers in the win.
Pat Morgan made five saves to get the shutout for 1-3-1 UM-Machias.
Nick Thibodeau had three saves for the 1-2 Bengals.
UM-Machias 3, UMPI 1
At Presque Isle Sunday, Mamhoud Sowe tallied a goal plus an assist as the Clippers clipped the Owls’ wings.
Brett Howarth and Mike Zeidler added goals and Matt Salyler and Evan Timusk assists for the 2-3-1 winners. Pat Morgan had six saves on eight shots.
Sebastian Itman scored off a Jamie Brewer pass for 1-3 UMaine-Presque Isle. Tim Dolley stopped 13 out of 17 shots.
Maine 1, Manhattan 0
At Orono Saturday, Chad Mongeon only had to make one save against six shots as the Bears blanked Manhattan.
Kevin Forgett scored the game’s only goal for 3-2 Maine.
Collin Leaver had 10 saves on 24 shots for 1-3 Manhattan.
Thomas 2, Maine Maritime 0
At Castine Saturday, Ryan Buttice and Dan Burdin each scored an unassisted goal to give the 1-2 Thomas Terriers the victory.
Ryan Conrad saved six of 17 shots for the Terriers while his Maine Maritime Academy counterpart, Joshua Heath, saved four of 12 for the 0-2-1 Mariners.
Southern Maine 0, Worcester 0
At Gorham, the Huskies’ Dan Hills turned away five shots and Worcester’s Nick Robinson made seven saves as the two sides played to a scoreless draw.
Southern Maine, which extends its unbeaten streak to two games, stands at 1-2-1. Worcester State currently stands at 0-2-1.
UMass.-Boston 2, St. Joseph’s 0
At Standish Saturday, freshman Garry George scored 20 minutes into the second half to put the University of Massachusetts-Boston up for good and Maynor Sanchez scored the second goal 10 minutes later.
For the Monks, Jeff Yaeger made six saves on 14 shots. John Tady saved all four shots for the Beacons.
Women’s Soccer
Colby 4, Bates 1
At Waterville, Wendy Bonner led the 3-0 Mules with two goals and one assist.
Michaelyn Bortolotti had an assist and a goal off a penalty corner. Laurin Smith scored her first collegiate goal. Goalie Molly Rice had six saves.
Lori Jessup scored unassisted for the 1-1 Bobcats. Sarah Judice racked up 12 saves.
Southern Maine 1, Clark 0 (OT)
At Gorham, senior Sarah Dolley scored the only goal of the game 2:15 into the first overtime, to give the 2-1 Huskies’ the win.
Jessie Superchi stopped eight shots and recorded the second shutout of the season.
Freshman Kaitlin Kelley had 12 saves for 2-2 Clark.
