AUGUSTA – The Maine Department of Economic and Community Development is now accepting nominations for the 2004 Governor’s Award for Business Excellence.

The award is presented by the governor each spring to recognize Maine businesses for their commitment to manufacturing or customer service excellence and for their dedication to employees and community.

Companies may nominate themselves and small businesses are encouraged to apply.

The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 21.
