Pike powers ‘Jammers to win

ROCKPORT – David Pike recorded a goal and an assist as the undefeated Camden Hills boys soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Lincoln Academy Monday in high school action.

Casey Stearns and Frankie O’Hara each chipped in with a goal for the 4-0 Windjammers. Barry Beveridge added an assist and Andrew Rogers made six saves on 11 shots.

Kyle Peterman scored off a pass from David Thorpe. Josh Peaslee had four saves on 11 shots for the 1-3 Eagles of Newcastle.

S. Aroostook 13, East Grand 0

At Dyer Brook, Travis Brooker and Edoardo Crotta each has three goals and an assist as the Warriors improved to 3-5-1 on the season.

Evan McGary added two goals, while Tom St. Pierre had a goal and two assists, Jon Holman, Zac Montgomery and Griffin Hardy each had a goal and an assist, and John Boutilier scored a goal.

Boutilier and Zac Stubbs combined to make five saves on six shots for Southern Aroostook. Darius Parker, Eric Hannington and Chris Strout combined to make 18 saves on 50 shots for the 0-4 Vikings of Danforth.

Ellsworth 4, Bucksport 1

At Ellsworth, four different goal-scorers and three goalies helped the Eagles top the Golden Bucks.

Noah Jordan, Alex Wentworth, Austin Martin and Kris Tracy each recorded a goal for 3-0-1 Ellsworth. Matt Burns, Casey Lock and Tracy contributed an assist apiece. Jay Duhaime, Noah Brown and Cory Smith combined for six saves on eight shots.

Delmore Adams scored for 0-4 Bucksport. Miles Bisher made 12 saves on 39 shots.

WA Raiders 7, Calais 0

At East Machias, Lorenzo Burch recorded two goals and an assist as the Raiders shut down the Blue Devils.

Whitney Stevens added two goals for 2-1 Washington Academy. Jared Gray, Aaron Farris and Ryan Harmon each chipped in with a goal. Nicolay Musarskiy had two assists and Nenad Micic had one. Micic and Jeremy Gray combined for nine saves on 14 shots.

Chris Woodside and Devon McPhee combined to make 16 saves on 31 shots for 1-1-2 Calais.

Narraguagus 4, Woodland 2

At Woodland, Saben Rossi had three goals and an assist as the Knights earned their first win of the season.

Gabe Checker had a goal and an assist for Narraguagus of Harrington, while Corey Worcester also had an assist.

Brandon Tomah led Woodland with a goal and an assist, while Aaron Moody scored a goal and Ben Leighton chipped in with an assist.

Josh Look made 11 saves on 13 shots for 1-4 Narraguagus. Brothers Aaron and Craig Moody combined to make 19 saves on 23 shots for 0-2 Woodland.

Highview Christian 10, Liberty 1

At Charleston, Lucas Soares scored five goals to spark the Knights to victory.

Ricky Hughes scored three goals and added an assist for 3-0 Highview Christian, while Nate Richard and Cameron Smith added one goal each. Devan Philbrick provided three assists, with Andrew Richards and Anthony Kneeland adding one each.

Philbrick and Aaron Waite combined to make six saves on seven shots.

Ean Riley made 26 saves on 49 shots for 0-2 Liberty of Blue Hill.

Machias 4, Jonesport-Beals 0

At Machias, Austin Roberts scored two goals to lead 3-0 Machias to victory.

Patrick McDonald helped with a goal and an assist. Scoring the last goal was Chase Roberts. Jamie McCarthy and Zach McNally also had assists. Keeper Isaiah Roberts saved three of six shots.

Abraham Beal had 16 saves on 24 shots for the 1-2 Jonesport Beals.

Greenville 3, Valley 3 (2OT)

At Greenville, Travis Hovey scored on a Tyler Giberson assist to lift Valley of Bingham to the tie.

Joey Bishop and P.J. Mathieu also scored goals for Valley, while Giberson finished with two assists.

Jonah Lizotte scored two goals and Kevin Mathieu one for Greenville. Nathan Woodbury had an assist for the Lakers.

Eric Hatfield made 12 saves on 22 shots for 2-0-1 Valley. Brandon Lavigne made six saves on 12 shots for 1-2-1 Greenville.

Old Town 6, Brewer 0

At Old Town, John Garrity scored twice with assists from Tim Niles as the Indians went to 5-0.

Niles added a goal with an assist from Mike Perkins. Hogan Marguis added two goals and Nate Lonko recorded another. Tyler Tracewski had three saves on six shots.

For the 0-3 Witches Dan Juilli saved 23 of 33 shots.

Girls soccer

Belfast 10, MCI 0

At Pittsfield, Lindsey Bryant racked up four goals and Sam Ellis contributed two as the Lions rolled over the Huskies.

Abi Maycock, Emily Worth, Sophie Scott and Kat Berger added one goal apiece for 4-0 Belfast. Bryna Harrington made three saves on three shots.

Kasey Dodge stopped 15 of 25 shots for 0-3 Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.

Camden Hills 5, Lincoln Acad. 0

At Newcastle, Caitlin Brown scored twice to lead the 3-1 Windjammers to the win.

Tana Scott, Michaela Stone and Allyson Ettinger each scored a goal. Scott and Kelsey Butler each contributed an assist. Beth Herron made a save on the only Lincoln Academy shot.

Cassie Berry made five saves on 20 shots for the 0-4 Eagles.

Woodland 4, East Grand 0

At Danforth, Beth Covey scored two goals as the Dragons shut down the Vikings.

Gena Clark had a goal and an assist for 3-0 Woodland. Alicia Vose added a goal, while Kaitlyn Leeman and Heidi Graceffa each had an assist. Lauren Troiani made three saves on four shots.

Paula Osnoe saved 20 of 26 shots for 0-5 East Grand.

Orono 1, Nokomis 0

At Newport, Lauren Young scored with 28:21 remaining in the second half to lift the Red Riots past the Warriors.

Lindsey Colbath assisted on the game-winner. Marie Lint made five saves on 17 shots for 2-0 Orono.

Rozlyn Peterson stopped six of eight shots for 1-2-1 Nokomis.

Schenck 4, Dexter 1

At East Millinocket, Jessica Day scored three goals as the host Wolverines earned their first win of the season.

Sara Daniels also scored for Schenck, while Corntney McLaughlin had two assists and Taryn Beaumont had one.

Maria Potter scored for Dexter on a Sabrina Cote assist.

Megan Carey made four saves on six shots for 1-3 Schenck. Lindsay Buxton made 17 saves on 21 shots for Dexter.

Lee Acad. 2, Bangor Christian 2

At Bangor, Shelby Pickering scored two goals as the Pandas went to 4-0.

Lee’s Jodie Worster saved all 11 Patriot shots. Johannah Kutz saved 18 of 20 shots for 3-2 Bangor Christian.

Greenville 1, Valley 0

At Bingham, Hannah Breton scored off an assist from Michaella Bartley with four minutes left in regulation to lift the Lakers.

Beth Bartley had four saves on 5 shots for 3-0-1 Greenville. Loretta Fitzmaurice had 14 saves on 21 shots for the 1-2-1 Cavaliers of Bingham.

Old Town 3, Brewer 0

At Brewer, Whitney Carey saved all 12 Brewer shots to earn a shutout for the Indians.

Katie Bergeron also had two unassisted goals and Hannah Marquis added another goal for 2-3 Old Town.

Katie Harris had 10 saves on 13 shots for the 1-2 Witches.

Calvary Chapel 4, GPC 1

At Portland, sisters Monique and Chantel Veilleux combined for three goals as the Sabres earned the victory.

Monique Veilleux scored twice for Calvary Chapel of Orrington and Chantel Veilleux had one goal. Jeni Grice added a score. Britnay Lowe and Kelly Miller tallied one assist apiece. Jessica Graves made 14 saves on 15 shots.

Caitlin Filmore scored for Greater Portland Christian and Rosa Pauwels stopped 16 of 20 shots.

Bangor 1, Caribou 0

At Bangor Saturday, Caroline Larson scored off a Laura Clarke assist with about 16 minutes left in the first half as the Rams topped the Vikings.

Ilyse Angst saved four of seven shots for 3-0-1 Bangor. Rachel Willey made seven saves on 11 shots.
