Big School (Classes A-B)

TYLER TRACEWSKI

Tyler Tracewski, a goaltender for the Old Town boys soccer team, allowed only one goal while making 27 saves on 35 shots over three games as the Indians improved their record to 5-0 with victories over Brewer, Fort Kent, and Hampden Academy.

Small School (Classes C-D)

GENE KEEFE

Keefe, a junior tailback and quarterback for the John Bapst Memorial High School of Bangor football team, rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as the Crusaders defeated Maranacook 22-6 to end a 41-game losing streak. Keefe scored on runs of 2, 2, and 29 yards, and also caught a two-point conversion.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

MELISSA DEMERCHANT

Demerchant, a senior goalie for the Presque Isle girls soccer team, has recorded four shutouts for the 6-0 Wildcats, including two in PI’s three most recent games. She has allowed four goals so far this season.

Small School (Classes C-D)

SHELBY PICKERING

The Lee Academy junior scored all four of the Pandas’ goals in two wins by the defending Eastern Maine Class D champs, who are now 4-0. Pickering is also running cross country and was the overall winner in two races.
