DYER BROOK – Krystle McMoarn scored three goals to lead visiting Katahdin to a 5-0 girls soccer victory over Southern Aroostook on Thursday.

Ronnie Robinson added a goal and an assist for the Cougars, while Michelle Martin scored a goal, K.C. Duffy-Stanley had two assists and Lyron Blum-Evitts added one assist.

Jamie Green made seven saves on 14 shots for 3-4-1 Katahdin. Audrey Charette and Erin Caswell combined to make 12 saves on 20 shots for the 4-4-1 Warriors.

Hodgdon 3, Fort Fairfield 1

At Fort Fairfield, Collette Sloat, Brianne McGary and Amanda Fitzpatrick all scored unassisted goals to propel the 6-4 Hawks to the win.

Erin Foster had three saves on six shots.

Sadie Ayoob had a goal for the 5-4-2 Tigers. Keeper Dani Searles made five saves on eight shots.

Madawaska 2, Limestone 0

At Limestone, Elizabeth LaPlante saves all four shots she faced to earn the shutout for the visiting Owls.

Kelly Chasse and Michelle Morneault each scored a goal for Madawaska, and Abby Michaud had an assist.

Nikki Michaud stopped 16 of 18 shots for Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Central Aroostook 1, Easton 0

At Mars Hill, Brittany Collins scored on an assist by Stevi Fletcher to lead the host Panthers to victory.

Brittany Lundeen had four saves on 14 shots for 6-2-4 Central Aroostook.

Brianna White saved six of 24 shots for the 3-10 Bears.

Ellsworth 3, MDI 0

At Ellsworth, unassisted second-half goals by Tessa Miller, Monique Boutaugh and Maggie Seavey and Victoria Jones’ six saves on 11 shots gave the Eagles their first win after two losses and a tie.

Jessica Norwood made nine saves on 16 shots for 0-2-1 Mount Desert Island.

JV: MDI 3-0

Hampden Acad. 6, Bucksport 2

At Hampden, Kim Stephenson scored three goals and added two assists as the host Broncos pulled away for the victory.

Bucksport took a 1-0 lead on an Alice Andrews goal, but Hampden led 2-1 at halftime and outscored the Golden Bucks 4-1 in the second half.

Alyssa Forrest added two goals for Hampden, while Johanna Ghiringehlli had a goal and an assist and Katie Lawler dished out an assist.

Lindsay Gordon scored Bucksport’s second goal on a Jill Richards assist.

Morgan Greenlaw made three saves on five shots for 4-2 Hampden. Katie Hurd made 10 saves on 26 shots for 1-2-1 Bucksport.

JV: Hampden 8-0

Nokomis 5, Foxcroft 1

At Dover-Foxcroft, Amy Preble scored two goals as visiting Nokomis improved to 2-3-1 on the season.

Kristina Gonzalez added a goal and two assists for the Warriors, while Miranda Picard and Theresa Cooper each scored a goal and Beth Bragdon and Laurie Watson each had an assist.

Sarah Anderson scored the Foxcroft goal.

Rozlyn Peterson made six saves on 12 shots for Nokomis. Kate Walsh made 16 saves on 30 shots for 1-2-1 Foxcroft.

John Bapst 1, Orono 0

At Orono, Lily Krichels scored on an Ashley Sanford assist for the visiting Crusaders.

Ashley Pearson made four saves on seven shots for 2-1-1 John Bapst. Marie Lint made 10 saves on 16 shots for 2-1 Orono.

JV: John Bapst 3-1

Calvary Chapel 6, Highview 0

At Bangor’s Husson College, Britany Lowe scored three goals and added an assist and Monique Veilleux had two goals as Calvary Chapel of Orrington beat Highview Christian of Charleston.

Shantel Veilleux had a goal and an assist for the 4-1 winners.

Highview Christian is 1-2.

Boys soccer

Caribou 0, Fort Kent 0 (2OT)

At Fort Kent, Micah Maurio made 18 saves on 32 shots to help his 3-2-1 Vikings earn the road tie.

Derick Plourde made 14 saves on 16 shots for 5-1-2 Fort Kent.

JV: Fort Kent 5-0

Madawaska 5, Limestone 0

At Limestone, Matt Bosse had two goals and an assist and Miles Morneault scored two goals as Madawaska improved its record to 7-3.

Michael Arnold added a goal and assist for the Owls, while Paul Michaud and Tyler Levesque each had one assist.

Jon Cowie made five saves on nine shots for Madawaska. Travis Peers made 13 saves on 27 shots for 0-8-1 Limestone.

So. Aroostook 2, Katahdin 0

At Dyer Brook, goals by Travis Brooker and Edoardo Crotta led the 4-5-1 Warriors to the win.

Jon Holman and Tom St. Pierre had assists. Jeff Boutilier saved 15 of 17 shots.

Frank Grass had 13 saves on 20 shots for the 0-5-2 Cougars.

Central Aroostook 1, Easton 1

At Mars Hill, the 7-2-3 Panthers and the 6-2-4 Bears battled to a 1-1 tie.

Erick Martinew of Central Aroostook scored the game’s first goal on an assist from Jeff Clockedile. Adam Crew had four saves on five shots.

Jared Flewelling scored the tying goal on a corner kick by James Desmond with 5:34 left in the game. Danny Warren faced 22 shots and made 13 saves for visiting Easton.

Washburn 1, Easton 1

At Washburn on Monday, Easton’s Danny Warren made 16 saves and Washburn’s Jason Thompson recorded seven saves in the double overtime tie.

Wade Snyder scored a first-half goal on a Josh Goupille assist for Washburn and Kurtis Beaulieu scored an unassisted second-half goal for Easton.

Lee Academy 3, Schenck 0

At Lee, Kris King earned his first high school shutout by stopping 15 of 22 shots for the host Pandas.

Rick Kim had two goals and an assist for 5-2 Lee, while Everett Houghton scored a goal and Drew Pickering and Jason Mallett each added assists.

Chad Nelson made 16 saves on 28 shots for 2-2-1 Schenck.

JV: 0-0

Woodland 4, Calais 2

At Calais, Brandon Tomah had three goals and an assist as Woodland picked up its first win of the season.

John Knowles also scored for the 1-3 Dragons, while Marshall Crowe and Ben Leighton had assists.

Gary Smiley and Zack Gillespie scored unassisted goals for Calais.

Aaron Moody made four saves on six shots for Woodland. Chris Woodside made three saves on seven shots for 1-2-2 Calais.

WA Raiders 6, Narraguagus 2

At Harrington, Nenad Micic and Whitney Stevens each had two goals as Washington Academy improved its record to 4-1.

Lorenzo Burch and Jared Gray also scored for the Raiders, while Micic and Juan Antonio each had an assist.

Saben Rossi scored both Narraguagus goals. Gabe Checker had an assist.

Jeremy Gray made six saves on eight shots for Washington Academy. Josh Look made nine saves on 15 shots for 1-5 Narraguagus.

Nokomis 3, Foxcroft 0

At Newport, Matt Thornton scored the game-winner and also had an assist to power Nokomis to its first win after three losses and a tie.

Evan Bell and Seth Bradstreet had the other goals and Mike Conrad earned an assist. Brendan Donaldson made 10 saves on 12 shots.

Brad Bellemare made six saves on 20 shots for 0-5 Foxcroft Academy.

PCHS 8, Bangor Christian 1

At Guilford, Joe Jardine had three goals for the undefeated Pirates.

Dan Rockwell added two goals and an assist for 6-0 PCHS. Mike Wharff scored once and had two assists, while Jeffery Robinson and Lee Wilson each had one goal and Andy Zimmerman added one assist. Josh Luellen and Ryan Martell combined for 15 saves on 16 shots.

Josh Griffin scored on an assist from D.J. McCleary for Bangor Christian. Aaron Wilson and McCleary combined to make 13 saves on 28 shots for the 2-3 Patriots.

John Bapst 2, Orono 1

At Bangor, Rick Hathaway made 11 saves on 12 shots to help the Crusaders improve their record to 3-1.

John Bapst’s Brian Roach scored on an assist from A.J. Stein, and Alex Means added the Crusaders’ second goal with help from Josh Jamieson.

Chris McConnon scored unassisted for the 1-2-1 Orono. Jason Arkebauar saved 21 of 23 shots.

Field hockey

Brewer 1, Bangor 0 (OT)

At Bangor, Jessica O’Connell scored on an Allison Buckley assist 4:17 into overtime to lift the visiting Witches to their first win of the season.

Sarah England made five saves on 12 shots for 1-2 Brewer. Bonnie Case made 12 saves on 14 shots for 1-2-1 Bangor.

JV: 1-1

Mattanawcook 2, Stearns 0

At Lincoln, first-half goals by Kristen Turner and Heather Gulesian sparked the host Lynx to the win.

Jaide Littlefield and Ali Keegan had assists for 2-2 Mattanawcook.

Lynx goalies Colleen Cloran and Ashley Emery combined to make seven saves on 11 shots. Denna Michaud made 11 saves on 21 shots for 2-3 Stearns.

JV: Mattanawcook 3-2

Hampden Acad. 1, Hermon 0

At Hampden, Erika Veinote scored the game’s only goal with 15 minutes left in regulation for the Broncos.

Hannah Thieme saves all five shots she faced for 3-3 Hampden. Meagan McCready made 10 saves on 17 shots for 0-4 Hermon.
