UNITY – Gary Thorne of Sidney jumped from his outside pole position to power past Benton’s George Fernald to win his third Pro Stock feature race of the season at Unity Raceway Saturday night.

Albion’s Matt Lee finished fourth in the race to collect his third career Pro Stock points championship.

Kris Huff of Orrington finished second in the race while two drivers from Benton, Dana Strout and Robert Green, placed third and fifth, repsectively.

At Wiscasset Raceway, Steve Peirpont won the Stock 8 race, which was shortened from 75 to 50 laps because of fog Saturday night.

Jim Davis of Sabattus finished second in the race, Mike Moody of Bath was third, Jim Davis Jr. of Sabattus placed fourth and Keith Landry of Mechanic Falls took fifth.
