FORT KENT – Gintaras Lenkutis scored the game-winning goal in the second half as the UMaine-Fort Kent Bengals topped Lyndon State 3-2 Sunday in men’s soccer action.
UMFK rolled over St. Joseph’s (Vt.) 7-0 Saturday.
In Sunday’s game, Andrew Clavette had a goal and an assist for 2-2 UM-Fort Kent. Alehkine Veloso added a goal and Donatas Sumyla had an assist. Nick Thibodeau made six saves.
John Hamilton led 2-5 Lyndon State with a goal and an assist. Justin Rowe had 17 saves.
In Saturday’s game, Clavette and Juan Murphy each tallied three goals. Sumyla added a goal. Carlos Jara had three assists. Thibodeau and Buck Pineau combined for 10 saves.
Tom LaPlante made five saves for 3-2 St. Joseph’s.

At Presque Isle Saturday, Sebastian Itman knocked in a penalty kick in overtime’s final minute to give the Owls the win.
Joey Johnson scored in the first half for 2-3 UMaine-Presque Isle.
UMPI 4, St. Joseph’s (Vt.) 3 (OT)
At Presque Isle Sunday, Sebastian Itman scored the game-winner on a breakaway as the Owls nipped the College of St. Joseph.
Andy Broomhall, Darren Belskis and Ben Goodwin added a goal each for 3-3 UM-Presque Isle.
Becker 4, Thomas 3
At Leicester, Mass., Saturday, Jeff Walsh scored off an Aley Riche pass in the second half to lift Becker.
Tyler Colby scored an unassisted goal and assisted on another by Chris Inzerillo for the 2-4 Terriers. Sam McKenney added a goal and Ryan Conrad stopped seven shots.
Colby 2, Trinity 2 (2OT)
At Waterville Saturday, Christopher Fryxell and Jeff Hodge scored second-half goals to help Trinity earn the tie.
Brian Kelly tallied a goal plus an assist for the 2-0-1 White Mules and Ryan Boccuzzi added a goal. Brian Davidson had nine saves against 13 shots.
UM-Machias 4, St. Joseph’s 1
At Machias Saturday, four different Clippers each scored a goal as UM-Machias rolled.
Jesse Wignes, Brett Howarth, Matt Salyer and Steve Hill each netted a goal. Mike Zeidler had two assists and Jorge Tassar added another.
Peter Betting scored for the Monks of Standish.
W. Conn. 5, Southern Maine 1
At Danbury, Conn., Bradley Fidler had two goals and an assist as Western Connecticut improved to 6-2-1.
Zach Ansley scored the only goal for the 1-3-2 Huskies. Kane DiBenedetto saved five shots, while Dan Hills saved two. Together they faced 31 shots.
Elms 5, Thomas 0
At Chicopee, Mass. Sunday, Adriano dos Santos had a goal and an assist, and four others each scored a goal, as the Blazers beat the Terriers.
Josh McConnell and Todd Petkus combined to stop five shots for 4-1 Elms.
Ryan Conrad made 13 saves for 2-5 Thomas.

UM-Presque Isle splits
At Presque Isle Sunday, Tara Cropley, Monique Daniel and Lukie Gagnon each scored three goals as the Owls rolled to a 14-3 win over St. Joseph’s (Vt.). Lyndon State edged the Owls 3-2 Saturday.
In Sunday’s game, Amber Howe and Marilee Waugh contributed two goals apiece and Amanda Clayton had one. Daniel and Leah Joy each had two assists. Sam Grier and Rachel Larlee combined for 11 saves.
Molly Neider had two goals for St. Joseph’s. Melanie March made 18 saves.
In Saturday’s game, Darcy LaBlanc scored twice and had an assist for Lyndon State. Lindsay Maguire made five saves on eight shots.
Gagnon scored both UMPI goals and Grier made 13 saves on 16 shots.
UM-Fort Kent sweeps
At Fort Kent Sunday, Megan Foreman scored on a chip shot from about 25 yards out just two minutes into overtime to lift the Bengals to a 2-1 victory over Lyndon State. UMFK rolled over St. Joseph’s (Vt.) 9-3 Saturday.
Jess Gagnon scored in the first half to give 3-2 UM-Fort Kent the early lead. Kara Jackson made nine saves.
Autumn Fahey scored to tie the game for 3-4 Lyndon State.
In Saturday’s game, Gagnon had four goals and Foreman had two goals and two assists for the Bengals. Amy Kelley also scored twice and Angela Flanagan added a goal. Jackson and Allison Lutz combined for eight saves.
Molly Neider had two goals and an assist for 0-3 St. Joseph’s.
West Conn. 2, So. Maine 0
At Gorham, Lia Pellegrino-Young scored the eventual game-winner in the second half as the Colonials blanked the Huskies.
Marcy Ansley stopped seven out of 15 shots for 3-2-1 Southern Maine.

At Waterville Saturday, Sara Thiede scored with 5:41 to play as Trinity held off Colby.
Kate Salottolo added a goal for the 4-0 winners.
Laura Williamson scored for the 1-0-1 White Mules and Amanda Walsh had the assist. Elizabeth Riley stopped five out of seven shots.
UM-Farmington 3, Becker 1
At Leicester, Mass. Sunday, Erin Campbell and Jodie Welch combined on two goals to power the Beavers.
Campbell scored twice with two assists from Welch, who scored off a pass from Erin Findlan. Patty Boutin stopped one of four shots for 3-1 UMF.

At Machias Saturday, Christina Rich scored at 31:20 of the first half to lift the Clippers to victory.

At Boston, Deidra Ham scored three goals and Beatriz DeYcaza added two as Husson topped Wheelock.
Kristin Pelletier and Danielle Billing added single goals. May Chan chipped in with two assists, while Ham, Pelletier, DeYcaza and Kaylin Caron had single assists. Leah Drew and Ashley Robar combined to make six saves on seven shots.
Field hockey
Colby 3, Trinity 1
At Waterville Saturday, Wendy Bonner scored twice to lead the undefeated White Mules to their fifth win.
Sari Gilbert had a goal and an assist for Colby.
Southern Maine 3, Westfield 0
At Westfield, Mass., Saturday, the Huskies collected goals from three different players to bring their record to 4-2.
Senior Renee Heath scored on a pass from Sarah Dolley. Dolley had a goal with a Kayla Vaughan assist. Rachael Nimon scored off a free hit from Jen Mason. Jessie Superchi saved five shots, getting her third shutout this season.
Anna Maria 2, Thomas 1 (2OT)
At Waterville, Nicole Eldredal scored on a penalty shot to break the tie and give 6-1 AMC the win.
Breanne Petrini scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Amber Richard. Jen Lane saved 18 of 20 shots for 0-3 Thomas.
Maine splits with Tigers, Hoyas
At Towson, Md. Sunday, Ashley Bacon knocked in the game-winner in the second half as Towson beat the Black Bears 2-1, snapping Maine’s four-game winning streak. The Bears beat Georgetown 3-2 in overtime Saturday in Washington, D.C.
In Sunday’s game, Julie Lambi scored 1:47 into the game for 5-2 Towson and Loren Wolf made 11 saves on 15 shots.
Karly Bundy tied the game for 5-2 Maine in the second half. Traci Rainone assisted on the goal and Jaye Lance stopped four of nine shots.
In Saturday’s game, Bundy scored an unassisted goal with 13:47 left in overtime to lift the Black Bears.
Bundy scored the first goal of the game 3:27 into the first half off an assist from Rebecca Ouellet. Kasey Spencer added a goal in the second half to give Maine the lead after Georgetown tied it. Lance made four saves on 14 shots.
