Bangor police are looking for a Vassalboro man who allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend Monday night.
Officer Eric Tourtelotte reported that a Bangor woman came to the station Monday night saying her ex-boyfriend, Anthony Littlefield, 22, of Vassalboro, had come to her house at about 11 p.m. The two had broken up about a month before.
The woman told Tourtelotte that Littlefield had come to take back an engagement ring he had given her. After a verbal argument, the woman said, Littlefield grabbed her right wrist. When he found the ring was on her other hand, the woman said, Littlefield grabbed that hand and stripped the ring off her finger, leaving a red mark.
The woman then broke away and went inside, with Littlefield following, she told Tourtelotte. She said Littlefield pulled her phone cord out of the wall, so she had to go to a neighbor’s house to call her grandmother. As she returned, she said, Littlefield spat on her.
Tourtelotte said the woman told him Littlefield sat on her car hood, trying to keep her from driving away, and punched her driver’s side mirror until it almost fell off.
Tourtelotte said he went to the Bald Mountain Drive address where the incident supposedly occurred but did not find Littlefield, who may have gone to Vassalboro.
Tourtelotte said he plans to locate Littlefield by telephone or in person in order to summon him for assault and criminal mischief.
