CALAIS – Zach Gillespie scored a goal in each half Wednesday to power the Calais Blue Devils to a 3-1 schoolboy soccer victory over Jonesport-Beals.

Devon McPhee posted a goal and an assist for 4-2-2 Calais, while Scott MacDonald added an assist. Chris Woodside made six saves on nine shots.

Martin Alley scored for 1-4-1 Jonesport-Beals with an assist from Jonathan Alley. Abraham Beal made 12 saves on 18 shots.

Camden Hills 11, Oak Hill 0

At Camden, Casey Stearns registered a hat trick to lead the Windjammers past the Raiders.

Tyler Dunham notched two goals plus an assist for 6-1 Camden Hills and Evan Dyer dished out three assists. Andrew Rogers and Morgan Kerr combined to make nine saves on 12 shots.

John Daggett stopped 13 of 26 shots for 0-7 Oak Hill of Wales.

JV: Camden Hills 6-0

Machias 6, Sumner 1

At East Sullivan, Chris Correll tallied two goals and an assist and Austin Roberts added two more goals as the Bulldogs rolled.

Chase Ross and Brian Millay scored a goal apiece for 5-0 Machias. Marcus Frutchey had 11 saves on 14 shots.

Rand Beattie scored off a Josh Vandergift pass for the 1-4 Tigers. Mason Young made 16 saves on 22 shots.

George Stevens 5, Central 1

At Blue Hill, Blake Wessel and Peter Graves each had a goal and an assist to lead the Eagles past the Red Devils.

Tyler Cousins, Phineas Peake and Andrew Lymburner added a goal each for George Stevens, and Tim Carter dished out an assist. Mark Ensworth and Colin Henry stopped nine of 15 shots between them.

Josh Underhill scored an unassisted goal for Central of Corinth. Charles Haney blocked 11 of 32 shots.

Dexter 4, Searsport 2

At Searsport, Brandon Woodman scored three goals to lead the visiting Tigers past Searsport.

Jeremy Kenney had three assists and Aaron Woodman scored the other goal on a penalty kick. Sam Bowers made 14 saves on 18 shots for the 6-2 Tigers.

Spencer Garton scored both goals for the 4-1-1 Vikings. Jake Manner made 13 saves on 18 shots.

Islesboro 7, Chop Point 1

At Islesboro, Colin Schmidt and T.L. Tutos each had a hat trick to lead the Eagles.

Nick Porter knocked in a penalty kick for Islesboro. Buddy Bebb had three saves on seven shots.

Ben Krebs had the lone goal for Chop Point of Woolwich. Tim Richter made 12 saves against 24 shots.

Lee 3, Penquis 1

At Milo, Kris King made 12 saves on 16 shots to help the Pandas beat the Patriots.

Everett Houghton, Jun Yung Sung and Rick Kim scored one goal apiece for 6-2-1 Lee Academy, while Jake King provided an assist.

Justin Allen scored unassisted for 2-3-1 Penquis. Kevin Nason made 16 saves on 21 shots.

Piscataquis 2, PVHS 2 (2OT)

At Guilford, Matt Cummings knocked in two goals as his Howlers and the Pirates battled to a double-overtime tie.

Jared Michaud and Garrett Lavertue added assists for 3-2-1 Penobscot Valley of Howland. Josh Ireland had 10 saves on 34 shots.

Dan Rockwell notched a goal plus an assist for 7-0-1 Piscataquis, Joe Jardine tallied a goal and Chase Burdin had an assist. Josh Luellen stopped 14 of 17 shots.

Monmouth 2, Carrabec 1

At North Anson, Mark Wade’s unassisted goal with 31:13 left in the game gave Monmouth the winning edge.

Wade assisted on Matt Elliot’s first-half goal for the 5-2 winners. Kyle Pelletier made four saves on five shots.

Carrabec’s Donald Chretien tied the game at 1-1 when he scored off a Corey McLaughlin pass with 11:38 left in the first half. John Chretien finished with 13 saves on 15 shots for the 3-3-1 Cobras.

Field hockey

Foxcroft 2, John Bapst 1

At Dover-Foxcroft, Rolinda Mitchell and Jennie Walker each scored in the first half to lead the Ponies past the Crusaders.

Herida Reddy had an assist for 5-2 Foxcroft and Ashley Smith had six saves on seven shots.

Ali Dunn registered a goal in the second half for 5-3 John Bapst of Bangor, and Sarah Connelly had the assist. Julia Sleeper stopped seven of nine shots.

JV: John Bapst 1-0

Hermon 1, Old Town 0 (OT)

At Old Town, Jenna Redman scored an unassisted goal with three minutes left in overtime to lift the Hawks to their first win of the season.

Megan McCready stopped all 15 shots she faced for 1-6 Hermon.

Kitty Campbell had nine saves on 10 shots for the 1-6 Indians.
