GORHAM – Freshman Kerry Leonard scored the only goal of the game late in the first half to lead the University of Southern Maine field hockey team to a 1-0 victory over the University of Maine-Farmington Thursday in college action.
Jessie Superchi notched her fifth shutout of the season with three saves on three shots for the 6-2 Huskies, who won their fourth straight game.
Ashleigh Biette of Freeport saved nine of 10 for the 3-2 UMF Beavers.

At Gorham, Andy Budelman scored the only goal of the match to give the Huskies the win.
Kane DiBenedetto saved three of eight shots for 2-3-2 USM. Joe Albiston saved two of eight shots for 3-5 Colby.
