BLUE HILL – The Maine Boules Club will hold the 2003 Federation of Petanque USA Northeast Regional Triples Championship tournament at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, on Piper Square, 8 Water St.

Petanque, a game similar to bocce, is popular in Europe. Teams from across the country will travel to Maine to compete in the tournament. Several teams will represent the Maine Boules Club, one of which placed fourth in the U.S. Triples Championship in San Rafael, Calif.
