THORNDIKE – An investigation by the Waldo County Drug Task Force has led to the arrest of a local man accused of dealing cocaine and marijuana. Randolph West, 39, of Files Hill Road was arrested at 7:15 a.m. Sunday after a search of his home.

THORNDIKE – An investigation by the Waldo County Drug Task Force has led to the arrest of a local man accused of dealing cocaine and marijuana.

Randolph West, 39, of Files Hill Road was arrested at 7:15 a.m. Sunday after a search of his home. Agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Waldo County Sheriff’s Department, Maine State Police and Belfast Police Department had targeted West through information gained in their joint investigations of drug trafficking in Waldo County.

A half-ounce of cocaine, approximately 4 ounces of marijuana, drug scales and drug paraphernalia were confiscated during the search.

West was charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in marijuana. He was booked at the Waldo County Jail and is being held on $300,000 bail.
