BANGOR – Dan Malmer scored an unassisted goal with 20 minutes left to lift the Bangor Rams by Hampden Academy 2-1 for their fourth straight victory in schoolboy soccer action Tuesday.
Malmer’s goal came on a 25-yard shot low to the right corner of the goal.
The teams were tied 1-1 at intermission. Adam Towne gave Bangor a 1-0 lead on a Dylan George assist, but Hampden’s Alex Wiken tied the match on a Billy Shannon assist.
Austin Smith made six saves on 11 shots for 6-3 Bangor. Kenny Mayo made three saves on 11 shots for 5-4 Hampden.

Presque Isle 5, Nokomis 0
At Newport, Trevor Graves netted two goals to help lead Presque Isle to its seventh win.
Brandon Hale and Greg Whitaker each scored a goal and assisted on another for the Wildcats. Benji Lynch scored the other goal while Chris Carlin and Nate Carter had assists. Sean Daigle stopped 10 of 15 shots for 7-1-2 Presque Isle.
Brendan Donaldson made 12 saves on 23 attempts for 1-8-1 Nokomis.

At East Millinocket, Jason Kimball scored twice to lead the Wolverines to the win.
Aaron Waite and Will Hamlin each provided assists for Kimball and Chad Nelson stopped eight of nine shots for 4-3-2 Schenck to record his fifth shutout of the season.
Frank Grass saved 17 of 29 shots for 1-6-3 Katahdin.
PVHS 3, Penquis 2
At Milo, Matt Cummings scored two goals and Garrett Lavertu had a goal and two assists to lead Penobscot Valley of Howland to the victory.
Justin Allen scored both Penquis goals, one assisted by Ben Webb, and the second unassisted.
Josh Ireland made nine saves on 13 shots for 5-2-4 Penobscot Valley. Kevin Nason made 11 saves on 15 shots for 2-5-1 Penquis.
Calvary Chapel 5, Highview 4
At Charleston, Justin Morin scored the game-winning goal on a Stephen Gerritzen assist with 4:28 left in the second half to give Calvary Chapel of Orrington the upset win over Highview Christian Academy.
Brock Bradford had three goals for the Sabers as Morin added another goal and an assist. Gerritzen made two more assists and Tyler Ganz made 15 saves on 22 shots for 5-3 Calvary Chapel.
Lucas Soares scored two goals and notched an assist for the Knights. Ricky Hughes and Cameron Smith each netted a goal while Thiago Martinelli and Anthony Kneeland both had an assist. Devan Philbrick and Aaron Waite combined to save 10 of 18 shots for 6-1-1 Highview Christian.

Mount View 2, MCI 0
At Pittsfield, Lindsey Hunter scored a pair of unassisted goals in the first half for the Mustangs of Mount View.
Megan Carman made six saves on eight shots for 5-2-1 Mount View. Courtney Howe made 14 saves on 17 shots for 2-7 Maine Central Institute.
Orono 1, PCHS 0
At Orono, Emily Sypher’s unassisted first-half goal off a goalmouth scramble and Ana Blagojevic’s 10 saves enabled Orono to avenge an earlier 3-0 setback.
Orono is now 3-5-1 while Piscataquis Community High of Guilford, which received five saves from Amy Knowlton, fell to 4-4.
Central 1, Nokomis 0
At Corinth, Kristina Gallagher’s goal 10:24 into the game and Tiffany Tilton’s three saves on 15 shots powered Central past Nokomis of Newport for its seventh win against two setbacks.
Casey Davis fed Gallagher in front after retrieving Jenny Rollins’ wide shot off a Traci Underhill penalty corner.
Kristen Gould made 33 saves for 3-5 Nokomis.

At Old Town, Amanda Littlefield’s first-half goal from a flurry in front stood up as the Indians improved to 2-7.
Kitty Campbell made six saves for Old Town while Sarah England had four stops for 2-6 Brewer.

Orono 2, Foxcroft 1
At Dover-Foxcroft, Olivia Whitney scored both Orono goals and Whitney Dwyer had an assist to lead Orono past Foxcroft.
Marie Lint made 11 saves on 19 shots for 5-2-1 Orono.
Ashley Hall scored an unassisted goal in the second half for the 2-6-1 Ponies and Katie Walsh blocked 11 of 22 shots.
Calvary Chapel 4, Highview 2
At Charleston, Britney Lowell scored one goal and assisted on two others to propel the Sabers to victory.
Chauntel Veilleux provided a goal and an assist for 5-2 Calvary Chapel Christian of Orrington, while Monique Veilleux and Kelly Miller scored one goal each. Jess Graves made 11 saves on 28 shots.
Sara Lewis and Angela Francis each tallied an unassisted goal for 3-3 Highview Christian. Danielle Day came up with 19 saves on 30 shots.
Woodland 2, ‘Guagus 2 (2OT)
At Harrington, Alicia Vose scored the game-tying goal off a Katlin Leeman assist with five minutes left in the second half.
