MOUNT DESERT – Jason McFarland scored a goal with two minutes left in the game to lift the Mount Desert Island Trojans to a 2-1 schoolboy soccer win over the Hermon Hawks Tuesday.

Richard Hilliard scored on a Matt Grover assist for 7-2-2 MDI. Dan Lyons turned away seven of 10 shots including a penalty kick with seven minutes left.

Wyatt Sabo netted an unassisted goal with 12 minutes left in the first half for 7-2-1 Hermon. Corey Archer blocked three of 11 attempts.

JV: MDI 4-0

Calvary Chapel 4, GPCA 1

At Brewer, Brock Bradford scored three goals, including two in the first half, to lead the Sabers to victory.

Stephan Gerritzen provided a goal and an assist for 8-3 Calvary Chapel Christian of Orrington, while Brandon Scoville and Tyler Dean posted one assist each.

Tyler Gans made three saves on five shots.

Andy Foss scored an unassisted goal for 2-6-1 Greater Portland Christian Academy. Michael Saunders made 13 saves on 22 shots.

Highview Christian 3, Averill 0

At Hinckley, Thiago Martinelli netted two goals to push Highview Christian Academy of Charleston past Averill.

Lucas Soares scored the Knights’ other goal as Nate Richard and Carmeron Smith both had an assist. Aaron Waite stopped one of three shots that came his way for 8-2-1 Highview Christian.

Jake Russell made 10 saves on 19 shots for 1-9 Averill.

Girls soccer

Shead 3, Calais 2 (2OT)

At Calais, Patricia Candelmo booted in a goal off a Samantha Davis rebound with 3:20 left in the second overtime to give Shead of Eastport the victory.

Davis added two unassisted goals for the 6-3 winners and Brittany Cox made six saves on nine shots.

Darcey Gillespie scored off a Traci Eagan pass for 2-6 Calais and Lindsay Taylor tied the game with 15 minutes left in regulation when she converted a Danielle Feck pass. Stephanie Perry made 17 saves on 20 shots.

MDI 1, Hermon 1 (2OT)

At Hermon, Lucy Shaw scored the game-tying goal with 8:59 left in the first half for Mount Desert Island as the teams played to a tie through two overtimes.

Jessica Norwood made 13 saves on 18 shots for 4-4-1 Mount Desert Island.

Cassie White scored on an Alisa Petrello assist on a corner kick with 33:36 left in the first half for 3-3-4 Hermon. Shannon Wiggin stopped 11 of 12 shots.

Searsport 9, Bangor Christian 2

At Searsport, Jessica Wilson and Nori Francis-Metzger both scored two goals and added an assist to lead Searsport to its 11th win of the season.

Martha Landmesser netted two goals for the 11-1 Vikings while Abby Tripp, Brittani Frisbie and Sarah Cook added a goal apiece. Mo Hall made six saves on eight shots.

Amber Leathers scored both of 4-7 Bangor Christian’s goals and Johannah Kutz made 20 saves on 33 shots.

DI-Stonington 1, Sumner 0

At East Sullivan, Kourtney Larsen scored during a goal-mouth scramble five minutes into the second half as Deer Isle-Stonington improved to 3-7.

Regyn Lawry made one save on four shots while Sumner counterpart Whitney Page stopped 13 of 16 shots.

Sumner is now 1-9.

Penobscot Valley 4, Penquis 1

At Howland, Nancy Hallett netted the first goal to help Penobscot Valley earn the upset win over Penquis of Milo.

Randy Rackley, Ashley Dawson and Holly Drost each scored a goal for the 5-4-1 Howlers. Jenn Plourde made 18 saves on 25 shots.

Shannon Gerrish scored for the 9-2 Patriots and Nicole Nason made seven saves on 18 shots.

Greenville 3, Valley 1

At Greenville, Kahla Lander started Greenville’s offense with a goal to help the Lakers to the win.

Hannah Breton and Michaela Bartley each netted a goal for 10-0-1 Greenville and Rica Breton added an assist. Bet Bartley stopped two of three shots she faced.

Emma McCallister scored on a Candy Ebneter assist for 3-5-1 Valley as Loretta Fitzmaurice made 17 saves on 34 attempts.

Lee Academy 6, Schenck 2

At East Millinocket, Shelby Pickering scored four times to lead Lee Academy to its ninth win of the season without a loss.

Kristen Hersom and Sam Cole each netted a goal for the Pandas and Jackie Moors made six saves on 10 shots.

Courtney McLaughlin and Jessica Day scored for 4-6-1 Schenck and Laura Jamo provided an assist. Megan Carey made four saves on 12 shots.

Central 1, Dexter 1 (2OT)

At Corinth, Erica’s Brownell’s unassisted goal from about 20 yards out with 3:42 left in regulation tied up the game and sent it to the scoreless overtime periods.

Nicole Daniel made 10 saves on 13 shots for 6-5-1 Central.

Maria Potter scored an unassisted first-half goal for 2-8-1 Dexter and Lindsay Burton made eight saves on 13 shots.

Bangor 2, Old Town 0

At Bangor, Laura Clarke scored two goals off of Serena Dubois assists to lead the Rams to their ninth win of the year.

Ilyse Angst stopped all five goals that she faced for 9-1-1 Bangor.

Whitney Carey made 26 saves on 28 shots for 5-7 Old Town.

Girls soccer

Fort Kent 2, Caribou 1 (2OT)

At Caribou, Sarah Pinette scored the game-winning goal on a Monique Labbe assist with 50 seconds left to give Fort Kent the upset win over Caribou.

Garbrielle Cyr scored off of a Melissa Michaud assist with 13:36 left in the second half for 4-6-1 Fort Kent. Mindy Morneault made eight saves on 14 shots.

Shelby Cousins scored with 17:19 left in the second half off of an Amy Bouchard assist for 7-4 Caribou. Billie Martin made five saves on 12 shots.

JV: Caribou 1-0

Van Buren 1, Limestone 0

At Van Buren, Sarah Lajoie scored the game-winning goal off of a Amy Vaillancourt assist to lead Van Buren past Limestone.

Lisa Levasseur stopped four of five shots for 8-0-3 Van Buren.

Nikki Michaud made 12 saves on 21 attempts for 4-5-2 Limestone.

Field hockey

Belfast 2, Rockland 1 (OT)

At Belfast, Kallie Aldus scored the game-winning goal on a Kelsey Jackson assist with 58 seconds left in overtime to lead Belfast to its 10th win of the season.

Jackson scored the Lions’ first goal on a penalty stroke with 14:04 left in the second half. Amanda Littlefield stopped seven of eight shots for 10-2 Belfast.

Leah Nickerson scored off of a Caitlyn Grant assist with 14:49 left in the second half for 6-4-2 Rockland. Jessica Sleeper made six saves on eight shots.

JV: Rockland 1-0

Camden Hills 4, Maranacook 2

At Camden, Lindsey Clement scored two goals off assists from Jodi Newcombe to lift the Windjammers to victory.

Leigh Massey and Jenessa Tyler each netted a goal for 3-8-1 Camden Hills and Julie Vandersloot had an assist. Georgia Smith made five saves on seven shots.

Katie Evans and Kim Anderson each scored for 3-7-1 Maranacook of Readfield and Kallie Glover had an assist. Haley Schwartz made 15 saves on 19 shots.

JV: Camden Hills 1-0

Winslow 2, Mount View 1

At Thorndike, Beth Lafountain broke a scoreless tie 3:35 into the second half and added an insurance goal with 6:56 remaining as Winslow upped its record to 10-1-1.

Cierra Byrne made seven saves for the Black Raiders.

Meagen Carman stopped 13 shots for 6-5-1 Mount View.

Hampden 4, Brewer 0

At Hampden, Tini Lumino scored a goal and notched an assist to lead Hampden to the win over Brewer.

Aly Lumino, Gretchen Lescord and Anna Wood each netted a goal for the Broncos and Sarah Hessert had two assists. Caroline Samp made four saves on four shots for 6-5 Hampden.

Sarah England made 15 saves on 19 shots for 1-10-1 Brewer.

JV: Hampden 1-0

Stearns 4, Hermon 0

At Millinocket, Holly Franck scored two goals to push Stearns past Hermon.

Jamie Johnson netted a goal and had an assist for the Minutemen and Meghana Dye added a goal. Hilary Arsenault made an assist as Deanne Michaud and Michelle Landry combined to stop all five shots that they faced for 7-4 Stearns.

Meagan McCready stopped 11 of 15 shots for 1-10 Hermon.

JV: Stearns 3-0
