Belfast gains 12th victory

BELFAST – Junior goalie Bryna Harrington notched her school-record 10th shutout of the season after stopping all four of the shots she faced as the Belfast Lions rolled to a 7-0 schoolgirl soccer win over the Oak Hill Raiders Wednesday.

Lindsey Bryant had two goals and an assist to lead the Lions’ offense. Emily Worth, Abi Macock, Kate Nickerson, and Audrey Jarrett each had a goal and an assist. Sam Mathieu scored the other goal for the 12-0 Lions.

Hillary Goodhartt saved 17 of 24 shots for the 5-7 Oak Hill Raiders of Sabattus.

JV: Belfast 6-0

Nokomis 10, Foxcroft 0

At Newport, Aimee Paradis had a hat trick and Kristina Gonzalez tallied two goals and two assists as the Warriors galloped past the Ponies.

Beth Bragdon knocked in two goals for 4-8-1 Nokomis. Miranda Pickard registered a goal plus an assist, while Peplyn Fournier chipped in a goal and Amy Preble an assist. Rozlyn Peterson and Tatum Welch combined to stop three out of four shots.

Kate Walsh stopped 18 of 24 shots for 2-8-2 Foxcroft.

Bangor 4, Brewer 0

At Bangor, Jessie Roberts had a goal and an assist for the Rams as they knocked off their traditional rivals.

Amanda Mooers, Serena Dubois, Laura Clark and Caroline Larson each scored a goal for the 10-1-1 Rams. Ilyse Angst notched her fifth shutout of the season with five saves on five shots.

Katie Harris made 26 saves on 30 shots for the 1-10-1 Witches.

JV: Bangor 2-1

Hampden 3, John Bapst 1

At Hampden, Jessie Aylward’s five-yard shot off a Johanna Ghiringehlli through ball with 13:42 remaining snapped a 1-1 tie and sent Hampden on its way to its eighth straight win.

Kim Stephenson’s second goal of the game 1:46 later sewed it up. She was set up by Sophie Kelmenson.

Stephenson had staked 10-2 Hampden to a 1-0 lead in the first half off an Annaliese Lafayette pass but Hailey Cutri equalized off a Megan Pritham pass.

Becca Workman made eight saves for Hampden and Ashley Pearson rejected 16 shots for 5-5-1 John Bapst.

Field hockey

Dexter 4, Piscataquis 0

At Guilford, Brittany Veazie, Nikki Chapman, Vanessa Hartford and Keriann Patterson each had an unassisted goal as the Tigers upped their mark to 12-0.

Cindy Koscielny stopped all four shots she faced for Dexter.

Amy Knowlton faced 35 shots and saved 27 of them for the 5-6 Pirates.

JV: Piscataquis 3-0

Foxcroft 2, Nokomis 2 (2OT)

At Newport, Rolinda Mitchell knocked in two goals for the Ponies as they played to a stalemate with Nokomis.

Erin Curry added an assist for 8-3-1 Foxcroft. Ashley Smith had 16 saves on 18 shots.

Jenny Hawkes and Sarah Bradstreet scored for the 3-6-2 Warriors. Michelle Barden and Dana-Jo Gardner dished out assists. Kathryn Green and Kirsten Gould combined for nine saves on 11 shots.

Boys soccer

Carrabec 6, Livermore Falls 0

At North Anson, Paul Roderick scored two goals to help the Cobras roll.

Donald Chretien chipped in with a goal and an assist for the 5-5-1 winners and Jason Cummings added two assists. Jeremy Howell, Ben Shaw and Trey Gaw each added a goal and Ben Gram notched an assist. John Chretien made five saves on five shots.

For 0-10 Livermore Falls, Matt Labbe made 19 saves on 26 shots.

Ellsworth 6, George Stevens 0

At Blue Hill, Kris Tracy scored three goals to lead the visiting, undefeated Eagles past George Stevens Academy.

Demetrious Katsiaficas, Jensen Rich, and Chad Curtis each scored one goal for the 10-0-1 Eagles. Noah Burns and Cory Smith combined to make seven saves on 16 shots.

Mark Ensworth and Collin Henry combined for six saves on 19 shots for 4-5-3 GSA.

WA Raiders 6, Woodland 0

At East Machas, Whitney Stevens scored four goals, three unassisted, as the Washington Academy Raiders improved to 8-1.

Juan Antonio and Hyun Gyu Kim each added a goal while Nenad Micic, Nikolay Mursarskiy and Michael Hinnerman each chipped in with an assist. Jeremy Gray and Trevor Jessiman combined for three saves on three shots.

For 2-9 Woodland, Aaron Moody made 17 saves on 22 shots.

Central 3, Sumner 0

At East Sullivan, Josh Underhill knocked in two goals and Danny Kane added another, all unassisted, to lead the Red Devils to the win.

Nick Elliott had seven saves on nine shots for 3-7-1 Central of Cornith.

Dylan Johnson blocked 16 out of 22 shots for the 1-8 Tigers.

Searsport 8, Bucksport 0

At Bucksport, Matt Nickerson registered a hat trick while Drew Mercier notched two goals plus an assist as the Vikings rolled.

Mike Libby and Josh McFarland had a goal and assist for 10-1-2 Searsport. Ryan Shute chipped in with a goal. Jake Manner had four saves on 11 shots.

Andrew Jackson faced 22 shots and saved eight of them for the 0-11 Golden Bucks.

Dexter 5, Foxcroft Academy 1

At Dexter, Jeremy Kenney scored two goals to lead the Dexter Tigers past Foxcroft Academy.

Ben Lemieux assisted on two goals while Brandon Woodman, Jason Clukey, and Quinn Dillon each scored one goal for the Tigers. Sam Bowers made five saves on 11 shots.

Guillermo Ferrer scored on an Ian Imbert assist for the Ponies. Brad Bellemare made 11 saves on 28 shots.

Old Town 6, Orono 1

At Orono, Nathan Lonko scored three goals to pace the visiting Indians past Orono.

Matt Petrie and Matt Reardon each had a goal and an assist. John Garrity had a goal and Tyler Tracewski saved three of four shots.

Alyosha Klose scored the lone goal for the 3-6-1 Red Riots. Mat Lint made five saves on 11 shots.

JV: Orono 2-0
