Chris Fox’s three TDs pace Brewer

OLD TOWN – Chris Fox rushed for three touchdowns on runs of 26, 9 and 25 yards Friday night while pacing the Witches to a 41-0 football victory over Old Town at Victory Field.

Court Rancourt got Brewer started with an 85-yard kickoff return for a score. Andy Frost turned in a 9-yard TD run and Justin Hardy recovered a blocked punt by Dan Fox in the end zone for the other score.

Wayne Temple carried six times for 53 yards to lead Old Town.

Bucksport 20, MCI 7

At Pittsfield, Nick Tymoczko had seven carries for 92 yards and scored two touchdowns Friday night to help lead Bucksport to a 20-7 Class C football victory over Maine Central Institute.

John Harvey had a 74-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter to help the Golden Bucks keep the momentum. Joey Carmichael completed four of 10 passes for 49 yards.

Victor Quint caught a 29-yard pass from Ryan Bennett in the second quarter for MCI’s only score. Bennett went 5-for-10 for 112 yards passing and Jonathan Smith had 13 carries for 81 yards and caught one pass for 41 yards.

Rockland 32, Orono 28

At Orono, Wade Oliver rushed for a 4-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and also ran in the two-point conversion to give Rockland the narrow win over Orono.

Greg Crupi had 17 carries for 85 yards and scored two touchdowns for Rockland. John Coppola passed for 159 yards and threw for two two-point conversions.

Joey Fullwood ran for 109 yards on 15 carries with a second-quarter touchdown for the Red Riots. Marty Simon ran 18 yards for a score and Lance Cowan returned an interception 50 yards for a TD.

In the third quarter, Mo Nazey recoverd a blocked Rockland punt in the end zone.

At Belfast, Josh Aldus ran for 122 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns and one extra point kick to push Belfast to its fifth win.

Garren Horne ran back an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown for the Lions and Nick Arthers ran six yards for a score.

Tyler Poland ran in a touchdown from 21 yards out for Leavitt of Turner Center and Dustin Gilbert completed eight of 24 passes for 76 yards.

At Fairfield, Jason Lisherness scored two touchdowns in the first quarter to lead Skowhegan to its fifth win.

Jared Walker scored on a 40-yard run in the third quarter for the Indians and Chauncy Lewis caught a 7-yard pass from Mark Malo. Scott Libby and Joe McGrail each scored on 5-yard runs in the fourth quarter.

Dylan Costigan ran 15 yards for the touchdown for Lawrence.

At Madison, Austin Ouellette caught two touchdown passes from Justin Wells and ran in another to lead Jay to the win.

Shawn Jacques provided two touchdown runs for Jay and Mark Kelvey returned a punt 35 yards for a score.

Justin Watt caught a 14-yard pass from Paul Brousseau for Madison’s only touchdown. Matt Stewart had 10 carries for 45 yards.
