PORTLAND – Robert O. Caron, 58, of Sabattus, was arraigned Friday in U.S. District Court on a charge of possession of child pornography.

After an investigation by the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force, a federal grand jury indicted Caron last month for knowingly possessing materials which contained computer-transmitted images of child pornography.

At his arraignment, Caron pleaded not guilty and was released on $10,000 cash bail. His trial is set for Dec. 1.
