FORT FAIRFIELD – Fernando Costa scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Jesse Sayers 1 minute, 17 seconds into overtime as the Fort Fairfield boys soccer team earned a 3-2 victory over Southern Aroostook Saturday in high school action.
Brandon Levasseur tied the game on a penalty kick with 21:03 left in the first half for the 6-6-1 Tigers. Kyle Enman scored on a Costa assist. Tyler Bernaiche stopped nine of 16 shots.
Edoardo Crotta assisted on a Travis Brooker score in the first half for the 7-6-1 Warriors of Dyer Brook. Evan McGary netted a goal off a Tom St. Pierre feed with 10:20 left in the first. Jeff Boutilier made nine saves on 12 shots.
Fort Kent 1, Hermon 1 (2OT)
At Hermon, Josiah Curtis scored the game-tying goal on a penalty kick with 25 minutes left in the first half for Hermon.
Corey Archer stopped 10 of 11 shots for 7-2-2 Hermon.
Ethan Raymond also scored on a penalty kick with 30 minutes left in the first half for 5-3-4 Fort Kent as Derek Plourde stopped 20 of 21 attempts.
Highview Chr. 6, East Grand 1
At Charleston, Ricky Hughes netted three goals and an assist.
Lucas Soares, Andrew Richard and Anthony Keeland all added goals. Aaron Waite saved four of the six shots he faced for 10-2-1 Knights.
Mike Hanington scored for the Vikings of Danforth. Rick Park made 14 saves on 26 shots.
Calvary 1, Searsport 1 (2OT)
At Searsport, Brock Bradford scored the game-tying goal with three minutes remaining in the second half for Calvary Chapel of Orrington.
John Burke stopped 14 of 20 shots for 9-3-1 Calvary Chapel.
Josh Nickerson scored at 25 minutes into the first half as Jake Manner made nine saves on 15 shots for 10-2-2 Searsport.
Girls soccer
Fort Kent 1, Hermon 0
At Hermon, Sarah Pinette scored the game-winning goal with 26 minutes left in the first half as the Warriors held off the Hawks.
Hermon outshot Fort Kent 31-14, but couldn’t get a ball past Warrior goalie Mindy Morneault, who made 23 saves.
Shannon Wiggin had 11 saves for the Hawks.
Caribou 3, MDI 1
At Caribou, Lauren Harrigan netted all three Viking goals as Caribou picked up its eighth win.
Lindsay Burlock and Shelby Cousins each had an assist and Rachael Willey made seven saves on 10 shots for 8-4 Caribou.
Bekka Paine scored on a Lucy Shaw assist for the 4-6-3 Trojans. Jessica Norwood made nine saves on 16 shots.

Madawaska 7, Calais 0
At Madawaska, seven different players scored as the Owls cruised.
Sarah Nadeau led 6-5-1 Madawaska with a goal and an assist. Abby Michaud, Beth Gerard, Kelly Chasse, Liz Clavette, Allyson Dempster, and Anna Cannan each scored a goal. Nathalie Garcia had two assists. Liz Laplante stopped both shots she faced.
Stephanie Perry made 18 saves on 32 shots for 2-8 Calais.
Katahdin 3, Hodgdon 1
At Sherman Station, Michelle Martin scored two goals to lead the Cougars past the Hawks.
Ronni Robinson netted a goal and made an assist for 6-6-2 Katahdin and K.C. Duffy-Stanley had an assist. Clarissa Gallagher stopped two of seven shots.
Casey Nightingale scored on a Brianne McGary assist for 7-5 Hodgdon and Erin Foster turned away five of 19 attempts.
Bangor 4, Ellsworth 0
At Ellsworth, Jessie Roberts netted two second half goal to lead Bangor to its 10th win.
Serena Davis and Laura Clarke each scored for the 10-1-1 Rams. Ilyse Angst turned away five of seven shots.
Victoria Jones made eight saves on 13 attempts for 2-6-4 Ellsworth.

GSA 2, Penobscot Val. 1 (OT)
At Howland, Bethany Roberts scored with nine seconds left in the first overtime as the Eagles knocked off the Howlers.
Winslow Brokaw assisted on the game-winner. Liz Tyler saved 12 of 15 shots for 6-2-2 George Stevens of Blue Hill.
Sarah Colbath scored on an indirect kick with 33:47 left in the first. Sharon Drost had the assist and Jenn Plourde made 10 saves on 12 shots for 5-6-1 Penobscot Valley.
Bucksport 1, Orono 0
At Orono, Teren Hall scored the game-winning goal on a free kick in the first half to propel the Golden Bucks.
Katie Hurd made six saves on eight shots for 5-6-1 Bucksport.
Marie Lint turned away five of seven attempts for 6-4-2 Orono.
Field hockey
Foxcroft 7, Hermon 0
At Dover-Foxcroft, Tamlyn Frederick scored four goals to help lead the Ponies to their ninth win.
Rolinda Mitchell scored a goal and made an assist for 9-3-1 Foxcroft. Amanda MacPheters and Jenni Walker each had a goal. Eryn Curry and Tylie Polyot both made an assist. Ashley Smith stopped the only shot she faced.
Meagan McCready made nine saves on 16 shots.

Central 2, Orono 1
At Orono, Traci Underhill and Jenny Rollins both scored a goal and an assist as the visitors prevailed.
Tiffany Tilton made three saves on four shots for 10-2 Central of Corinth.
Ana O’Neil scored for 5-6-1 Orono and Ana Blagojevic saved 17 of 19 shots.
