ASHLAND – Beth Chamberlain scored a goal and assist on the other as the Ashland girls soccer team remained undefeated at home with a 2-0 victory over Central Aroostook Friday afternoon.

Ashlee Peters added a goal and Jessica Jakes had an assist for the 10-2-2 Hornets. Ashley Nemer had her seventh shutout of the year, saving seven of nine shots.

Brittaney Lundeen made 16 saves on 20 shots for the 6-5-2 Panthers of Mars Hill.

Caribou 6, Madawaska 0

At Madawaska, Lindsey Burlock shot in two goals, while Makayla Gahagan, Lauren Harrigan, Shelby Cousins, and Michelle Ouellette scored one.

Harrigan and Ouellette also helped with assists. Billie Martin saved eight of 14 shots for the Vikings.

Liz Laplante made 17 saves on 24 shots for the Owls.

JV: Caribou 2-1

Shead 3, Narraguagus 1

At Eastport, Valerie Bowen led the Tigerettes with a goal and two assists.

Samantha Davis and Laureta Ricker also added goals. For 8-5-1 Shead, Brittany Cox made four saves on five shots

Missy Barbee scored for the 9-3-1 Knights. Alicia Penney saved 15 of the 20 shots she faced.

Calvary Chapel 5, Shead 0

At Pendleton Street Field in Brewer Thursday, Monique Veilleux scored two goals and notched an assist to lead Calvary Chapel of Orrington by Shead of Eastport.

Kelly Miller chipped in with two goals for the 9-2-1 winners, Chauntel Veilleux added a goal and an assist and Britany Lowe recorded two assists. Jenny Grice made 12 saves on 12 shots.

For 7-5-1 Shead, Brittany Cox made 18 saves on 23 shots.

Houlton 1, Fort Kent 0

At Fort Kent Thursday, Danielle Sewell scored the game-winning goal off a Nicole Beals assist with 11:36 left in the first half to win it for the Shiretowners.

Anna Lenentine made nine saves on 12 shots for 9-4 Houlton.

Mindy Morneault stopped five of six attempts for the 5-7-2 Warriors.

John Bapst 2, Bangor 2 (2OT)

At Bangor, Lily Krichels scored both goals for 6-5-3 Bapst, with one assist from Elaine Colwell. Caroline Lassling made 13 saves on 17 shots.

Laura Clarke also scored two goals for the Rams, with an assist each from Caroline Larson and Serena Dubois. For 10-1-2 Bangor, Ilyse Angst saved six of nine shots.

JV: Bangor 3-2

GSA 7, Sumner 0

At East Sullivan, Bethany Roberts kicked in three goals and added an assist.

Robin Rioux scored two goals, and Brandi Winters and Nina Bous each had a goal. Sadie Beardsworth, Winslow Brokaw, Rachel Wardwell, and Simone Crowe all helped with assists. Whitney Page and Kylie Bragdon faced one shot, but didn’t have to make a save for the 8-3-3 Eagles of Blue Hill.

Liz Tyler and Samantha Haskell saved 19 of the 34 shots they faced for the 1-12 Tigers.

Old Town 3, Hermon 0

At Old Town, Katie Bergeron tallied all three goals for the Indians.

With two assists was Hannah Marquis, and Shaylee Moulton had one. Whitney Carey saved seven of 10 shots for 6-7-1 Old Town.

Shannon Wiggin faced 15 shots and made eight saves for the 3-5-5 Hawks.

JV: Old Town 1-0

Boys soccer

Ellsworth 7, Orono

At Ellsworth, Kris Tracy led the Eagles with three goals.

Demetrious Katsiaficas, Jensen Rich, Chris Newett, and Tom Burns also had goals. Combining for three saves on six shots were Jay Duhaime and Cory Smith for 13-0-1 Ellsworth.

Dominique Raschle scored unassisted for the 4-8-1 Red Riots. ‘Keeper Matt Lint stopped six of the 22 shots he faced.

Shead 6, East Grand 1

At Eastport, Payne Joyner racked up three goals to pace Shead.

Derek Malony scored and added an assist. Mike Demolet also kicked one in, while Ricky Kroll and Dana Bowen had assists. Anthony Lewey and Josh Francis made four saves on five shots for the 6-4-2 Tigers.

Brent Byers scored off an assist from Eric Herrington for the 0-14 Vikings. Ricky Parks stopped 12 of 18 shots.

GSA 7, Sumner 0

At Blue Hill, Will Rosenthal scored two goals to lead George Stevens Academy.

Blake Wessel, Andrew Lymburner, Zachary Huckelbauer, Adam Cousins and Tyler Weeks all had goals for the Eagles. Mark Ensworth and Collin Henry combined for two saves on five shots.

Mason Young saved 12 of 32 shots for the Tigers of East Sullivan.

Washington Acad. 3, Machias 2

At the University of Maine-Machias field, Washington Academy of East Machias handed Machias its first loss of the season.

Lorenzo Burch scored unassisted. Whitney Stevens scored off an assist by Jared Gray, and Ryan Harmon scored with the assist from Stevens for the 10-1 Raiders.

Scoring unassisted was Austin Roberts for the 11-1 Bulldogs. Jamie McCarthy added a goal with the assist going to Roberts.

Hermon 1, Old Town 0

At Hermon, Jason Shorey scored off a Josiah Curtis pass with about nine minutes left in the game to help the Hawks pick up a big pointworthy win.

Curtis dribbled down the left side past several defenders to the corner. He crossed the ball to Shorey, who settled the ball with his chest, and blasted in a goal from about 12 yards out.

Corey Archer made 12 saves on 12 shots for the 9-2-2 Hawks.

For 11-1-2 Old Town, Tyler Tracewski made six saves on seven shots.
