After attending the council meeting Oct. 16, I couldn’t believe it. You people who don’t come to the meetings are missing the best show in town. Apparently [Councilor Avern] Danforth wants “yes” people as he chastised Aaron Miller, Katahdin Times editor, about the articles he’s been putting in the paper. They break the law by having pre-meetings but do not want the Katahdin Times, i.e. Miller, to take them up on it?

This town has always had a one-sided paper. Here we have someone willing to give another side and they don’t like it. Could it be that Danforth, whose daughter works for the Community Press Weekly, could possibly have some say in what goes in that paper?

Miller should be admired for giving us the other side.
