BANGOR – “How the principles of Oriental Medicine, including Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology can be Used to Treat Bone Loss and Maintain Healthy Bones” is the topic 3-4:30 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the YWCA’s Isaac Farrar Mansion. The lecture is part of the Caring Connections Bone Health Information and Support Group.

The speaker will be Dr. Rhonda Feiman, a practitioner of Oriental medicine, which uses herbs and acupuncture to maintain health and keep the body in balance. Feiman also will discuss other ailments that she said respond well to acupuncture and herbs.

Feiman practices Japanese acupuncture, relying on very gentle needle stimulation as well as traditional Chinese and pediatric acupuncture.

A graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, N.M., Feiman is licensed in Maine and certified nationally. She has practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbology since 1992 and maintains a private practice in Belfast. All are welcome. For information, call the YWCA at 941-2808.
