BANGOR – Maestro Xiao-Lu Li and the Bangor Symphony Orchestra will transform the Bangor High School gymnasium when they present a Halloween concert of mysterious, dramatic, powerful and fun live music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
The “Spooktacular Classics” concert features entertaining activities before, during and after the concert, with the No Frowns Clowns, face painting, mask making, an intermission costume parade and a Halloween party with refreshments. Activities begin at 6 p.m.
Audience members are encouraged to join Li and the orchestra dressed in costume. A costume contest will award prizes to a musician and a member of the audience. Participants in the costume parade will receive a goody bag courtesy of Bangor Hydro.
The program features lively and familiar music from movies, television and cartoons, such as “Night on Bald Mountain,” “Danse Macabre,” “Toccata & Fugue” and “Hall of the Mountain King.”
