Annual SVH events include cancer walk

PITTSFIELD – The Sebasticook Valley Hospital will hold its annual Make a Difference Day Breast Cancer Awareness Walk at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at SVH’s Outpatient Women’s Health Center, Grove Hill.

Events will include free bone density readings for women age 40 and over, $8 flu vaccinations, giveaways, and a session on the importance of mammograms, clinical and self-breast exams. Proceeds will allow the SVH Outpatient and Women’s Health Center and the American Cancer Society to provide 50 free mammograms at SVH for women who qualify.
