BANGOR – Shane Coffin netted two goals to lead Husson College to a 3-0 men’s soccer win over Maine Maritime Academy Thursday afternoon.

Tyler Hews added a goal for the 7-7 Braves. Kyle James, David Richard, and Mike Dineen each had an assist as James Friend blocked all 12 shots that he saw.

Bangor’s Josh Heath made 10 saves on 30 shots for 3-9-3 Maine Maritime.

Colby 6, UNE 1

At Biddeford, Laura Williamson scored three goals as the Colby Mules improved their record to 6-4-1.

Williamson and teammates Liz Morbeck and Kaitlin Herlihy scored in the first half as Colby built a 3-0 lead. Williamson sandwiched her second-half goals around one by teammate Libba Cox.

Scarlett Slenker had two assists for the Mules.

Jenna Mike-Mayer scored for the University of New England.

Colby’s Liza Benson made two saves in goal, while Amanda Brown made five saves for 3-10-1 UNE.
