University of Maine junior center-fullback Linda Consolante was one of 11 players from across the country named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week for her play during the week of Oct. 13-20.
Consolante, playing her first game after returning from her stint with Team Canada in the World Cup, had the overtime game-winning goal in a 1-0 triumph over Binghamton and then helped the Bears blank Stony Brook 3-0.
The Black Bears, 10-1-1, have not allowed a goal in any of Consolante’s three games.
