PRESQUE ISLE – Hilary Harvey converted Presque Isle’s fifth penalty kick Saturday night, lifting the top-seeded Wildcats to a 3-2 quarterfinal victory over No. 9 John Bapst through four, 10-minute overtime periods and a set of penalty kicks.
Presque Isle (13-1-1) made four of its five penalty kicks as Melissa DeMerchant made saves on the Crusaders’ second and fourth attempts.
Katie Delong scored both goals for the Wildcats. She had an unassisted tally in the first half and then scored on a header off a direct kick by Kylan Smith to tie the game 18:44 into the second half.
DeMerchant finished with eight saves on 10 shots.
Taylor Greenlaw scored a game-tying, first-half goal for 7-6-3 John Bapst of Bangor. Meryl Greenlaw put the Crusaders ahead 2-1 at 11:00 of the second half, scoring off an assist by Evelyn Sharkey.
Caroline Cassling made 20 saves on 30 shots for Bapst.
Class D
Ashland 4, Bangor Christian 0
At Ashland, Ashley Nemer stopped all 10 shots she faced to get her eighth straight home shutout.
Caitlin Sherman and Ashlee Peters each had a goal plus an assist for 11-2-2 Ashland, the No. 4 seed. Emily Robinson and Jessica Jacques added goals and Cora Campbell an assist.
Johannah Kutz had 16 saves on 18 shots for the 12th-seeded Patriots (7-9).

Washburn 2, SAHS 1 (OT)
At Washburn, Zach Bird scored an unassisted goal with 2:29 remaining in the first overtime to give the second-seeded Beavers the win.
Stephen Drost tied the score, converting a corner kick with two seconds left in regulation for 10-1-4 Washburn. Jason Thompson had 15 saves on 17 shots.
Edoardo Crotta registered a goal for the No. 10 Warriors of Dyer Brook (8-7-1) and Tom St. Pierre got the assist. Jeff Boutilier stopped 16 of 26 shots.
Machias 2, Van Buren 1 (OT)
At Machias, Chris Correll scored off a pass from Jamie McCarthy 2:21 into overtime to lift the top-seeded Bulldogs by No. 8 Van Buren.
The Bulldogs had the ball inside the 18-yard line when McCarthy sent a pretty cross to Correll, who touched in the ball from about 6 yards out.
Austin Roberts scored a first-half goal for the 12-1 Bulldogs and Marcus Frutchey made eight saves on nine shots.
For 9-5-2 Van Buren, Andy Martin scored off a Jeremy Chasse pass with 21:24 left in regulation. Dustin Cyr made five saves on nine shots.
Lee 7, Highview Chr. 4
At Charleston, Rick Kim knocked in three goals to lead the sixth-seeded Pandas to the win.
Jake Kang and Peter Pickering each had a goal with an assist for 10-6 Lee. Everett Houghton and Pat Worster added goals. Chris Kang had nine saves on 16 shots.
Lucas Soares notched a goal and assist for the No. 3 Knights (11-3-1). Anthony Kneeland, Andrew Richard and Cameron Smith chipped in a goal each. Devan Philbrick stopped 16 of 27 shots.
Calvary Chapel 6, DI- Ston. 1
At Brewer, Brock Bradford and Stephan Gerritzen both scored twice to charge fifth-seeded Calvary Chapel past No. 13 Deer Isle-Stonington.
Andrew Lowe and Rosaire Veilleux each scored single goals. Bradford had two assists, while Gerritizen, Lowe, Veilleux, Chris Gaffney and Justin Morin had one apiece for the 12-3-1 Sabers. Tyler Ganes made eight saves on 10 shots.
Doug Hanson scored on a penalty kick for the 7-8-1 Mariners. Robbie Hanson made seven saves on 17 shots.

Presque Isle 3, Fort Kent 1
At Fort Kent, Chris Caslin knocked in two goals to lead the fifth-seeded Wildcats to the win.
Ben Lynch added a goal for 10-3-2 Presque Isle. Brad Baker had 10 saves on 11 shots.
Ethan Raymond scored the goal for the 7-4-4 Warriors, seeded fourth. Derek Plourde stopped eight out of 14 shots.
Ellsworth 2, Belfast 1
At Ellsworth, Kris Tracy scored the second of his two goals at 7:54 of the second half to lift the Eagles.
Noah Brown had seven saves on 12 shots for top-seeded Ellsworth (14-0-1).
Brian Lovely scored for the No. 8 Lions (9-5-1). Collin Cunning stopped nine of 16 shots.
Winslow 1, John Bapst 0
At Winslow, Erik Pendleton pitched his fifth straight shutout and 10th of the season, making five saves on eight shots as the second-seeded Black Raiders edged No. 10 John Bapst.
Joe Corey scored off a Taylor Helberg pass for 14-1-1 Winslow.
Rick Hathaway stopped nine of 24 shots for the 8-8 Crusaders of Bangor.
Class C
Dexter 2, Madawaska 1
At Dexter, Jeremy Kenney scored both goals, including the winner off a penalty kick, to lift the No. 3 Tigers by No. 6 Madawaska.
Kenney was taken down in the goalie box with 10:27 left in the game and then converted the penalty kick. He had scored an unassisted goal 11:59 into the game for the 11-3-1 winners and Sam Bowers made 11 saves on 21 shots.
Paul Michaud scored off a Michael Arnold assist 8:03 into the game for 12-4 Madawaska and Jon Cowie made nine saves on 24 shots.
Washington Acad. 6, Penquis 5
At East Machias, Juan Antonio registered a hat trick as the second-seeded Raiders edged the No. 7 Patriots.
Nenad Micic, Ryan Harman and Jared Gray notched a goal each for 11-1 Washington Academy. Jeremy Gray had 11 saves on 16 shots.
Jordan Allen scored three goals his own for 7-7-2 Penquis of Milo. Justin Allen added two goals. Kevin Nason and Ben Webb faced 23 shots and saved 13 of them.
Searsport 3, Penobscot Val. 0
At Howland, Jake Manner stopped all 18 shots he faced to lead the fifth-seeded Vikings to the upset win.
Kurt Lockhart, Drew Mercier and Matt Nickerson provided goals for 11-2-2 Searsport.
Josh Ireland stopped 15 out of 18 shots for the fourth-seeded Howlers, who wound up 6-4-5.

Mt. Blue 2, Old Town 1
At Old Town, Luke Ferrierra and Zach Frechette scored goals to lead the No. 5 Cougars to the win.
Freeman Scott and Oscar Rivera had assists for 11-3-2 Mt. Blue of Farmington. Ben Prentiss had eight saves on nine shots.
Matt Petrie converted a penalty kick for the 10-3-2 Indians, who were seeded fourth. Tyler Tracewski stopped 11 of 13 shots.

Class A
Skowhegan 2, Messalonskee 0
At Skowhegan, Becca Roy and Megan Seavey each scored a goal to lead the No. 1 Indians past the No. 5 Eagles of Oakland.
Carlee Evans was in goal for the shutout for 16-0 Skowhegan. Messalonskee finished at 8-7-1.
Class B
Waterville 2, Belfast 1
At Waterville, Annie Pease and Helen Schoentaler each scored a goal in the second half to lift the No. 2 Panthers past the No. 3 Lions.
Waterville improved to 15-1 and will face Winslow for the Class B crown Wednesday.
Britt Read scored a goal in the first half for Belfast, which finished at 11-5.
Winslow 7, Foxcroft 0
At Winslow, the top-seeded Black Raiders rolled to Wednesday’s championship round and improved their record to 14-1-1.
Anna Lessard and Beth LaFountain each scored two goals to lead Winslow. Amanda Kimball, Laura Pomerleau and Katie Shorey each chipped in with a goal.
Foxcroft finished its season at 11-4-1.
Class C
Dexter 9, Hall-Dale 1
At Dexter, Sarah Wyman knocked in three goals and Megan Fogarty scored two more and had four assists as the top-seeded Tigers (16-0) rolled.
Vanessa Hatford had two goals with an assist while Brittany Veazie and Nicci Burton had a goal with an assist for Dexter. Keriann Patterson added an assist. Cindy Koscielny stopped four of six shots.
Moriah Vellani scored unassisted for No. 4 Hall-Dale of Farmingdale (11-4-1). Libby Regan made 13 saves on 26 shots.
Football
Orono 14, Maranacook 6
At Readfield, the Red Riots scored on their first two possessions, then held the Black Bears in check.
Orono accounted for 207 rushing yards, while quarterback Mardy Simon completed three of five passes for 37 yards.
Lance Cowan ran 35 yards for a score on the Riots’ first possession, then Simon hit Nesha Millard on a 5-yard TD pass the next time they got the ball.
Shawn Labbe returned the second-half kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown. Luke St. Pierre completed 5 of 14 passes for 60 yards.
