ORONO – Robert W. Daigle of Camden was elected chairman of the board of directors of the University of Maine Foundation at the board’s 2003 meeting.

Daigle is a 1971 graduate of the University of Maine and is president and CEO of Camden National Corp.

The board of directors also elected the following officers: Donald F. Collins, Caribou, vice chairman; John I. Simpson, Bangor, treasurer; Charles M. Hutchins, Bangor, secretary; Amos E. Orcutt, Bangor, assistant treasurer; and Brent R. Slater, Bangor, clerk.
