The Lee Academy and Greenville schoolgirl soccer teams will battle for the Eastern Maine Class D soccer title Friday in Lee after semifinal victories Tuesday.

The EM final is tentatively set for 1:30 p.m.

Greenville defeated Van Buren 2-0 and Lee blanked Ashland 6-0.

At Greenville, Hannah Breton scored second-half goals six minutes apart, leading the second-seeded Lakers by No. 3 Van Buren.

Breton scored off a rebound at the 20-minute mark, then took a pass from Kristie Richardson, maneuvered through some Van Buren defenders, and scored with 14 minutes to play.

Beth Bartley made three saves on seven shots for 15-0-1 Greenville.

Lisa Levasseur made three saves on seven shots for No. 3 Van Buren, which finished the season at 11-2-3.

At Lee, Shelby Pickering scored three goals and assisted on one to lead the defending Eastern Maine champs back to the title game.

Marci Moors and Jodi Worcester each added an unassisted goal for the top-ranked Pandas, now 16-0. Samantha Cole added a goal off an Ashlee Gifford pass and Worcester assisted on one of Pickering’s goals.

Lee goalies Jackie Moors and Gifford combined for eight saves on 12 shots.

Ashley Nemer made 14 saves on 30 shots for No. 4 Ashland, which finished at 11-3-2.
