ORONO – Daniel Florez scored on a penalty kick at the end of regulation play, at the 90-minute mark, to tie the game, as the University of Maine men’s soccer team earned a 3-3 America East tie against Hartford on Wednesday.

Neither the Hawks nor the Black Bears scored in two overtime periods.

Greg Bajek and Justin Stockwell each scored a goal for 6-7-4 UMaine, which is 2-3-3 in America East play. Kyle Vosmus added an assist and Chad Mongeon made five saves on 13 shots.

Alon Lubezky had two goals for Hartford (9-8-2, 4-3-1 AE), which scored twice in the second half to take the lead. Ryan Carr made six saves on 18 shots.
