U.S. veterans group elects Maine president

The National Association of State Veterans Homes has elected Philip Jean, administrator of the Scarborough Maine Veterans Home, as president for 2003-04. Since 1999, Jean has overseen the 150-bed Scarborough facility, which provides rehabilitation, long-term, residential and end-of-life care to veterans and their families.

The National Association of State Veterans Homes has elected Philip Jean, administrator of the Scarborough Maine Veterans Home, as president for 2003-04.

Since 1999, Jean has overseen the 150-bed Scarborough facility, which provides rehabilitation, long-term, residential and end-of-life care to veterans and their families.

NASVH is made up of administrators and staff representing state-operated veterans homes nationwide, with a mission to ensure benefits, services and health care to veterans.

The not-for-profit Maine Veterans’ Homes organization operates five facilities throughout the state, in Augusta, Bangor, Caribou, Scarborough and South Paris.
