Five officials elected for Caribou positions

CARIBOU – Two incumbents on the Caribou City Council overcame their opposition in municipal elections on Tuesday and were re-elected to three-year terms.

Reginald R. Reed picked up 1,190 votes and Wilfred Martin Jr. received 1,123 votes in their bids for another term. They were opposed by Miles R. Williams, who got 1,033 votes, and Romeo J. Parent, who picked up 923 votes.

Unopposed for three-year terms on the Caribou School Board were Dale J. Gordon, 1,986 votes, and Jeryln Williams with 1,805 votes.

Betty J. Hatch also was unopposed for a seat on the Jefferson Cary Memorial Hospital Fund board of trustees.
