Bangor native’s article in Good Housekeeping

An article by a Bangor native appears in the November 2003 issue of Good Housekeeping, on newsstands now.

Cynthia Baker, daughter of William and Christina Baker, writes about a life-altering experience in “The Crime That Changed My Life,” which runs from pages 90 to 94 in that issue.

In the article, Baker wrote in detail about what happened to her on Jan. 15, 1997, when she was raped and robbed in her Washington, D.C., apartment, and the aftermath of those events. She also was critical of how the police department and medical community handled her situation.
