Perhaps Daryl DeJoy should have minded his own business and stayed away from the coyote snaring program of the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (“Snare ban raises fear of illegal killing; coyote advocate offers reward,” BDN, Nov. 6). It would appear, in his mind at least, that the department has made matters worse for the animals he is trying to protect.
DeJoy is interfering with my right to pursue activities of my choosing. As long as these activities don’t break any laws or injure people or property, I should be free to engage in them.
Surely there are a myriad of social ills in Penobscot, indeed the entire state, that DeJoy could address and stop harassing the hundreds of citizens of this state who prefer to carry on the traditions of their ancestors by hunting, fishing and trapping.
