FORT KENT – The Biathlon World Cup competition to be held March 1-6 in Fort Kent will be the topic of a business networking breakfast at the University of Maine at Fort Kent at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in Nowland Hall.

Max Cobb, United States Biathlon Association marketing director and a key organizer of this winter’s event, will be the featured speaker at the breakfast gathering of St. John Valley business leaders.

Cobb, who also has served as national program director for the USBA since 1989, will speak about the impact that hosting a World Cup competition will have on the St. John Valley, as well as discuss the latest developments and plans.

The biathlon official will be joined by several key local organizers who have been working with him to coordinate details for the competition.

The event will feature a buffet-style breakfast. Tickets are $7 (U.S.) and $11 (Canadian) and must be purchased in advance through the university’s corporate relations office. A limited number are available.

For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Diane Nadeau-Saucier at 834-7800.
