CASTINE – Don Thibodeau ran for 213 yards and a touchdown as Maine Maritime Academy rushed for 449 yards in a 48-0 college football victory Saturday over Framingham State.
Maine Maritime (1-8) ran the ball 68 times in setting a school season rushing record of 2,872 yards, breaking the old mark of 2,691 yards set in 1981.
Quarterback Pat Bard from Winslow threw for 122 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing an 11-yard touchdown.
Adam Watkins led Framingham State (0-9) with 71 yards rushing.

At Brunswick, Aaron Stepka rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown to give Colby a 7-6 comeback win over Bowdoin and the CBB series crown.
Bowdoin (0-8) led 6-0 entering the fourth quarter on a 5-yard touchdown run by Rick Leclerc with 17 seconds left in the half. The extra point kick failed.
Colby (5-3) scored early in the fourth quarter, with the extra point proving the game winner.
For the game, Justin Smith was 19 of 26 passing for 212 yards for Colby. Rob Patchett led Bowdoin with 115 yards rushing.

Hamilton 16, Bates 7
At Clinton, N.Y., Brandon Holtslag threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns to lead Hamilton over Bates 16-7.
Holtslag threw TD passes of 46 yards to Tom Tidgwell and 31 yards to Kevin Concle, both in the fourth quarter.
Hamilton (2-6) also scored on Peter Simon’s 37-yard field goal in the second.
The Bobcats (2-6) scored their only touchdown on Jamie Walker’s 14-yard run in the fourth quarter. Walker rushed 35 times for 151 yards.
Despite the loss, Bates had 424 yards of total offense compared to the Continentals’ 262. The Bobcat defense also held Hamilton to 56 yards rushing compared to Bates’ 274.

At Madison, N.J., senior running back Chris Trolan made Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham’s debut at newly-renovated Robert T. Shields Field a winning on as he rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries.
After kicking a 28-yard field goal on their opening possession, the Devils scored via a Trolan TD run in each of their next three possessions. The Devils’ defense held the Braves to -3 yards with seven tackles for a loss and three sacks.
Husson quarterback Lee St. Hillaire completed seven of 22 passes and was intercepted twice. Kyle Poissoiner of Smithfield caught three passes for 57 yards. Justin Spencer of Brewer was the leading rusher with 22 yards on 16 carries. Tom Lasko of Lincoln led the defense with 10 tackles and Josh Lemieux of Bailey Island had eight.
