UNITY – The Central Maine Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams each picked up victories over the Unity College Rams Tuesday night.
CMCC of Auburn defeated Unity in the women’s game 81-51 and then took the men’s game 101-66.
In the women’s game, Ashley Sweat led CMCC to the win over Unity with 20 points.
Lakeesha Holloman scored 17 points for CMCC. Andrea Owens added 15 points and Megan Leves had 12.
Christine Blakesly led Unity with 15 points, Lyndsey Smith had 12 and Kristen Hewitt added 11.
In the men’s game, Chris Bracke netted 20 points to help lead CMCC to victory.
Jon Thomas had 15 points for CMCC and Josh Berard and Patrick Dempsey each added 13. Ian Poland had 10 points.
Jeremy Kervin scored 25 points to lead Unity while Noah Schneider netted 17 points and Matt Kent put in 12.
