LIMERICK – A Limerick man died when the vehicle he was driving spun out of control and struck a fire hydrant, police said.
Robert Libby, 26, was driving south on Emery Corner Road when he lost control on a curve at around 9 p.m. Monday, according to the York County Sheriff’s Department. He was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected. Excessive speed was believed to be a factor.
It was the second accident death in rural York County in less than a week. Rebecca Green, 23, of Acton died Thursday after her car hit a utility pole. Speed also was believed to be a factor in that crash.
