CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sugarloaf/USA will open its slopes on Friday with nearly 1,700 vertical feet and terrain for skiers. The resort will start its season with two lifts and four trails covering the spectrum of terrain from easiest to most difficult.
Snowmaking has occurred on Boardwalk, Sluice, Upper Spillway and Lower Spillway. Boardwalk and Sluice have been groomed while the Spillway trails have been left untouched.
The opening weekend also marks the annual Tin Mountain Roundup. On Saturday and Sunday guests who bring three canned good items receive a $20 lift ticket for the day. The price for Friday will be $30.
