Happy Thanksgiving!
Today, many of us will gather together with family and friends to celebrate this very special day. As we give thanks for all of our blessings, we will no doubt remember those who are so less fortunate, many of whom live right around us.
One of the ways in which we may reach out to those in need is through the Santa’s Helper Fund. All money received goes to The Salvation Army, which will, in turn, make sure that assistance in the form of food, clothing and toys is provided to children and families in need this coming Christmas.
Today we are pleased to report more donations to the Santa’s Helper Fund.
Thanks go out to: Eleanor Veilleux, Hampden, $25; Dorothy Baron, Bangor, $100; Melissa, Cheryl, Emily and Heather, Franklin, $20; Anonymous, Milbridge, $25; Doris-Ann Gray, Milford, $50; and in memory of Polly Collier of Bar Harbor from Mom and Dad, Abbot Village, $50.
Contributions also came from Jeanette Grindle, Penobscot, $25; in memory of Andrew St. Peter, Woodland, $100; in appreciation of Vicki and Stephen Warker, Castine, $100; and Barbara and Clarence Herrick in memory of Sharon Bunker, Guilford, $25.
Donations may be sent to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor 04402-1329. Donors’ names and dollar amounts will be published in the Santa’s Helper column daily. Donors who wish to remain anonymous will be listed as such. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
