How nice that National Public Radio got $200 million from the wife of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, the man who did so much for junk food, obesity and sprawl.
The radio network indeed needs the money, and I support its taking it. Yet now let’s see if NPR and Maine Public Radio can stop advertising corporate sponsors on the air. Either cut the hype or change your name to National Quasi-Public Radio – broadcasting from your local Ronald McDonald House.
