With only three weekends left before Christmas, people are finding themselves very busy with shopping and other holiday preparations. We’re hoping that the Santa’s Helper Fund will come to mind as lists of things to do are being written, for it is through this fund-raiser that many poor people will be provided with the most basic necessities at Christmas.
The latest contributions to the Santa’s Helper Fund include gifts from the Sanders family in memory of their father George Sanders Sr., Bangor, $25; Anonymous, Old Town, $1,000; Lois and Bill Comeau, in memory of their grandson Nathan Comeau, Old Town, $50; and “The Crew,” Bangor, $25.
Also donating to the fund were Victoria Kusch Erker, Orono, $50; Janellen Little, in memory of William Little, Machias, $100; Beverly L. Mabee, Blue Hill, $5; The Old Dawg, Winterport, $25; Animal Crackers Pet Supply Co., Bangor, $100; and in memory of Garry Spooner from Marlene, Glenburn, $25.
Thank you all for your kindness.
Through generous donations, the fund has grown to $8,256, but we have a long way to go to reach the $50,000 goal. If you haven’t given yet, please consider making a donation. Even a small gift goes a long way.
Donations may be sent to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor 04402-1329. Donors’ names and dollar amounts will be published in the Santa’s Helper column daily. Donors who wish to remain anonymous will be listed as such, followed by their donation amounts. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
