Lumberjacks’ Rall helps lead 66ers to title

Former Bangor Lumberjack starting pitcher Tim Rall went 2-0 in 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to help the Inland Empire 66ers to the Class A California League Championship. Opposing batters hit just .105 against Rall in the playoffs as he allowed two hits, notched four strikeouts, and issued one walk in two appearances.

Rall, who was sold to the Seattle Mariners by Bangor in July, went 2-3 with a 3.65 ERA for the 66ers. He struck out 30 hitters and walked nine in 37 innings.
