WASHINGTON – Effective Nov. 14, the revenue-based size standard for small businesses in facilities support services increased from $6 million to $30 million, making it easier for small businesses to qualify for federal assistance.

The U.S. Small Business Administration made the change after receiving numerous requests from small businesses that thought an increase in size standards was necessary in order to compete with larger businesses. The rule change was published in the Federal Register on Oct. 15.
